What inspired you to start training in Mondioring, and what does it mean to you to compete at the world championship level?
I started Mondioring after seeing a demonstration 10 years ago, made by my mentor and friend Adi Nikarad, one of the few people who put the foundation of Mondioring in Romania
Competing in World Championships makes me happy, because our work and dedication is paid and also makes me proud for representing my country.
Can you describe the most challenging aspect of preparing for this competition and how you overcame it?
For us, this year most challenging aspect of preparing was the weather, this summer was extremely hot, we had almost 2 months with temperatures close to 40 degrees Celsius.
It was hard for dogs, decoys and handlers.
How do you build and maintain a strong bond with your dog, and how does that relationship impact your performance in Mondioring?
My dog is part of my life, my daily routine, starting with waking up in the morning, taking a walk or riding the bike, training, playing and even being lazy on the sofa watching a movie.
The important thing is spending quality time together.
What are your goals for this championship, and how do you plan to achieve them?
My goal for this championship is to do our BEST and return home safe.
How do you think Mondioring contributes to the broader understanding and appreciation of working dogs and canine sports?
Mondioring is a very complex sport, dogs and handlers are put in different situations every competition and I always believed that our sport dogs are doing for fun things that there brothers do in battle fields or in other utility jobs they have.
Also Mondioring dogs can be very easy included in our day by day life and family.
