Cytology and histopathology?

In most cases, the journey begins with cytology: rapid, minimally invasive and immediately useful for guiding early clinical decisions.

When greater diagnostic depth is needed, histopathology follows, enabling analysis of tissue architecture, assessment of margins and invasion, and, in many cases, a definitive diagnosis.
