Our host Mario Negreiro, in the dining room with a portrait of his great grandfather who bought the quinta. They look exactly alike! The rest are views of the quinta and the house.

Roman ruins in Evora: the old aqueduct which has just been built over and around. We watched a guy duck under this arch and trot down this street. The columns and part of a stone torso laying on the ground at the left are fenced off, but not marked in any way. This city is so old 2000 year old stone work is no big deal.

These days dinner menus are decided by what veggies the gardens are producing too much of. Last week we were trying eggplant recipes, this week okra. Nice problems to have.
