UPDATE April 25, 2025: Thanks to amazing Melanie and Carol - and also everyone who cared and shared - little Ilsa's fate has changed! ...and so has her bed 🙂 ❤️🐶💯 From freezing beach, to steely cage at the veterinarian to a warm blanket in a loving environment.
She was found dying, abandoned, and emaciated, thrown away on a beach like a useless plastic bag – she was just 5 kg of her normal 12 kg when found!
But now, she has a NEW LOVING (maybe foster maybe forever) HOME.
Ilsa is just 2 years old and will bring JOY and LOVE every day to her new FAMILY for many years to come.
P.S. And you, mister, who threw Ilsa away like an inanimate object – do search deeply in your heart and mind and ask yourself if that was the only way to deal with the situation. We all come across difficult times in life when solutions are not easy to find. But honestly ask yourself, HAVE YOU EVEN ACTUALLY TRIED?
It's not even about leaving a dog for death being a crime, it's about lack of EMPATHY, the very essence of your HUMANITY.

We are urgently looking for a new home, or at least foster home, for little Ilsa. She was found and saved 2 days ago by by wonderful Melenie.
She is currently staying at veterinarian in Lourinha where she is getting life-saving IV nourishment.
Ilsa is barely 5 kg, terribly malnourished, and with skin in bad condition that will likely be healing for some time.
BUT...her health is stable, and she is looking forward to start a new life. She was tested for common diseases, and all she needs now is a calm and loving place to recover, regain her strength and heal her skin. If you are the right person, we can also continue to support her recovery and take care of her treatment.
She is currently staying with the veterinarian, but we are able to transport her to you.
