🐴 Meet Naomi & Daniel - the people behind the horses! 🇵🇹

If you’re new here, we thought it was time to introduce ourselves properly! 😊

🐎 Daniel grew up with horses in the Alentejo, learning from some wonderful riders and developing his skills in dressage, Working Equitation and show jumping.

He started his professional career at just 17, became Regional Dressage Champion in 2019 with two different horses, and made his Grand Prix debut in 2023. He’s also been involved in training horses that have gone on to compete at the Olympics!

But what makes Daniel special is his patience and feel for horses. From starting young horses to training at Grand Prix level, he loves helping every horse reach its potential - and sharing his knowledge with riders of all levels. ❤️

🇭🇰 And then there’s me, Naomi!

I started my riding career in Hong Kong, working with Thoroughbreds and retraining ex-racehorses for their second careers. At 18 and 19, I represented Hong Kong in eventing at the Interpacific Exchange in China, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Cross-country has always been my favourite phase! 🏇

After moving to Portugal, I fell in love with the Lusitano breed, and Daniel helped me discover the wonderful world of riding these incredible horses.

Today, I look after our guests, create unique riding holidays and experiences, and help share our love for Lusitanos and Portuguese culture with people from around the world.

And together? We love horses, good food, exploring Portugal and, most importantly, having a good laugh along the way! We want everyone who spends time with us to feel welcome, make new friends and leave with wonderful memories. 🥰

So, if you ever spot us at a competition, don’t be shy - come and say hello! We’d love to meet you, catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

After all, horses bring us together, but it’s the people and friendships that make it even more special. ❤️🐴

🐴🇵🇹 November is just around the corner, and we can’t wait for Golegã 2026! ❤️

One of our favourite times of the year is almost here, when the heart of the Lusitano world comes alive with incredible horses, familiar faces, old friends and plenty of Portuguese equestrian spirit.

We’re so looking forward to catching up with so many of you again! If you’re heading to Golegã this November, make sure you come and say hello, we’d absolutely love to see you! 🥰🐴

✨🐴 The biggest Lusitano Retreat Awaits You 🐴✨

As summer slowly comes to an end, we can’t help but look back at what a wonderful few months it has been. ☀️🐴

New guests, new rides, new friendships, and so many special moments shared around our horses. Daniel and I have genuinely loved every minute of welcoming people into our little corner of Portugal and sharing our love for the Lusitano, our horses and the traditions that surround them. ❤️🇵🇹

But as summer comes to an end, something very exciting is just around the corner…

✨Golegã National Horse Fair – Feira Nacional do Cavalo✨

Every November, the little town of Golegã comes alive for one of Portugal’s biggest equestrian celebrations and, for us, it is one of the best places to experience the true heart of Lusitano culture.

So this year, we're putting together a very special experience…

🐴 Spend a week with us in the beautiful Alentejo countryside
🇵🇹 Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Golegã Horse Fair
🐎 Meet breeders and see some incredible Lusitanos

Monday morning, but make it adorable. 🥰🐴

There’s something so special about starting the week with a newborn foal in the field. Full of curiosity, discovering the world one wobbly step at a time, and reminding us to appreciate the simple things.

No emails, no deadlines, no rush - just sunshine, green grass, and a brand new life beginning. 🫶🏼

Happy Monday from our newest little team member. ❤️✨

Believe it or not, we do occasionally get out of our riding clothes! 😅

When we’re not at the stables, one of our favourite things to do is spend time exploring our beautiful city, enjoying good food, and taking a moment to slow down. Horses are a huge part of our lives, but these little moments away from the yard are important too. 🫶🏼

Life can be wonderfully busy, so we try to make the most of the quiet moments when they come.

And then, of course, it’s back to the horses the next morning! 🐴✨

I think people sometimes look at a finished movement and see the result.

What I see is all the days before it. The conversations, the mistakes, the patience, the small improvements, and the trust built between horse and rider over time.

That’s what I love about horses. They remind us that progress isn’t rushed. It happens one ride, one lesson, and one good day at a time.

And when the sunset hits just right, you get to appreciate how far you’ve come together. ❤️🐴
