Scooby just got back from the groomers and is looking handsome. He's doing very well in foster here in Puerto Rico and is getting ready to find his forever home!

He's going to be available for adoption starting August 8th, 2025, and we will be able to make arrangements for either a direct adopt or we are open to a U.S. based (foster based only, no shelters) partner organization (we have had some initial conversations and interest. Given that it's summer and the warm temperatures detemine flights off the island for larger dogs; we would like to start planning his trip now!

Meet Scooby, abandoned at the security gate of our complex, and he stayed there for almost a month. He's being fostered and getting great care and companionship! He's was neutered already and is estimated to be about 7 years old. Most likely someone's pet, we posted and tried to find his owner(s) with no luck. He was not microchipped, but he is now and has up to date vaccinations. He's gentle and cuddly and would be a wonderful addition to a family or someone who's up for some adventuring but a laid-back lifestyle. Thankfully, he's being supported by the wonderful organization here in Puerto Rico, but we're looking for a possible direct adoption or atleaat a foster home in the U.S. as we can fly him to you.

Meet Lupe, a sweet, curious, and very fun-loving sato from Puerto Rico. She was rescued in February from the campus of the Puerto Rico Science Trust and is all ready to fly to our friends at in NY/Long Island. She will take her flight on March 11th, 2025, via her flight manny organized through .

She has two foster aunts (tias) and has been introduced to cats as well. She is playful, smart, and a great cuddler. She will be a great addition to a family (she has interacted with young kids in the neighborhood) or a great companion to a couple or individual.

We want to stay connected, we want to celebrate the stories and also share the stories of animals in need. We will also look to profile rescues, rescuers, animals up for adoption, animals that have been in foster or shelter that need a loving home, educational content, events (adoption, spayathons, vaccines, fundraiers), TNR education/programs, and just use social platforms to stay connected on all things satos and gatos. So many times, we ask what happened to that rescue that got adopted or show the amazing work of the small or individual rescues who tirelessly give their all to the innocent animals of Puerto Rico.

We want this to be a collaborative effort and a place to give recognition to all the unsung heroes of animal rescue in Puerto Rico and beyond!

Welcome to the Sato Gato Network. 🐾🙌🏼

We aim to connect a network by bringing together the rescues, individual rescuers, fosters, adopters, and all-around animal lovers and advocates for the satos and gatos of Puerto Rico. We look to support each other in our efforts to rescue, to TNR (Trap, Neuter, Relase), transport, and eventually find furever homes. However, the journey is a process of learning, collaborating, and staying connected to celebrate the stories. The stories start in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 & continue to be shared globally is our hope.
