Love4Satos Animal Rescue The mission of Love4Satos is to save Puerto Rican stray dogs, by rescuing, rehabilitating, and placing them in stable and suitable forever homes.

Love4Satos is a certified 501c3 and 1101.01. These certifications allow our donors to claim their donations to us into their Tax reports. One hundred percent of the donations we receive goes toward the care of the animals we rescue.

Chanel was found pregnant on a feeding route in Peñuelas, PR. Now she’s on a well-earned mom getaway from her 10 puppies, getting the full TLC princess treatment she deserves. 👑

Rescue can be heavy, but fostering creates some of the sweetest moments we’ve witnessed. 💕

Hoy se dio un paso importante para el bienestar animal en Arroyo.

En colaboración con el Municipio de Arroyo, se llevó a cabo la esterilización de la primera perrita como parte del inicio formal del programa TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) en el pueblo.

Agradecemos al alcalde y a todo el equipo municipal por respaldar esta iniciativa y por reconocer la importancia de trabajar soluciones responsables y sostenibles para la población de animales sin hogar.

Este esfuerzo marca el comienzo de un proyecto que busca atender el problema desde su raíz, promoviendo el control poblacional, reduciendo el abandono y mejorando la calidad de vida de los animales en la comunidad.

Confiamos en que este sea el inicio de un trabajo continuo que genere resultados positivos para Arroyo y que pueda servir de ejemplo para otros municipios.

Por nuestra parte, reiteramos nuestro compromiso de continuar apoyando y colaborando en este proceso.

Today marks an important step forward for animal welfare in Arroyo.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Arroyo, the first dog was successfully spayed, officially launching the TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) program in the town.

We extend our gratitude to the Mayor Eric Bachier Román - Alcalde Arroyo and the municipal team for supporting this initiative and for recognizing the importance of implementing responsible, long-term solutions to address the population of stray animals.

This effort represents the beginning of a project focused on tackling the issue at its root, promoting population control, reducing abandonment, and improving the quality of life for animals within the community.

We are confident that this marks the start of an ongoing effort that will bring positive results to Arroyo and serve as a model for other municipalities.

We remain committed to continuing our support and collaboration throughout this process.

This is just the beginning.

It’s hard to even understand how someone can do this.

Six newborn kittens, around 10–12 days old, placed inside a box and left hidden in the bushes like they didn’t matter.

They were found on Thursday.
At that age, they depend on everything. Warmth, feeding, stimulation… survival is not something they can manage on their own. Today, there are five.

One of them didn’t make it. 💔

The other five are still with us, but they are in a critical stage. We are feeding every two hours, nonstop. Day and night. No breaks. Just trying to keep them stable.

This is the part people don’t usually see. It’s not just “rescuing.” It’s the aftermath. The lack of sleep, the stress, the constant worry that one more might not make it.

All because someone decided to leave them behind.

If you want to help, this is one of those moments where it actually makes a difference.

Update: He’s Safe 🤍❄️

Thanks to your support, this sweet boy is now safe and under the care of our main vet at Paseos Veterinary Center, where he is undergoing all routine tests.
What you see in the middle of his mouth is actually his colmillo, which was displaced due to the tumor. We know it looks alarming, but he is finally where he needs to be to get the care he deserves.
We’ve named him Nieve ❄️

Six kittens.
Left in a box. In the bushes. Next to a school in Patillas.
No mom. No food. Nothing.
They’re about 10–12 days old. Eyes barely open. Weak. The kind that don’t make it if no one shows up.
One of our volunteers works at the school. They told her, she went, and that was it. Of course we picked them up. That’s not even a question.

Right now they’re stable, but this stage is intense—bottle feeding every few hours, keeping them warm, watching them like a hawk.
We’re going to be blunt:
Cats are always the hardest to get support for.
People scroll past them.
But they cost the same (sometimes more).
So if you’ve ever said “I want to help,” this is one of those moments.
We need: • Kitten formula (KMR)
• Tiny bottles
• Pads/newspapers
• Donations for supplies and vet care

Love4Satos is handling it like always.
But we can’t do it alone.

🚨 VERY URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED 🚨

Meet Britany 🤍🐾

Britany is Bali’s sister - around 5 months old, a Husky/Lab mix - but she is much more scared and shut down.

Both girls have just come through a long, stressful transport and are extremely overwhelmed. Right now, they need a calm, PATIENT environment where they can decompress and learn that they are safe!

Britany is especially fearful and will need time, patience, and a quiet home to come out of her shell. ❤️

🚨Without IMMEDIATE foster placement, they will be sent back to Puerto Rico and placed in a shelter where their chances of survival are very low🚨

What they need MOST is simple: safety, patience, and time.

🤍 These girls are not broken - they are just scared and exhausted from everything they’ve been through! 😭

This case was all over the news here in Puerto Rico, and honestly… it was as bad as it looked. 💔

45 dogs tied up in chains outside a dilapidated house in Caguas.
Living in their own waste.
Underweight, shut down, covered in infections.

Thanks to for entrusting this case to us; we were able to bring 15 big brown-eyed, low-rider, shorty Chi-Terrier mixes into our care.

It hasn’t been easy.
We lost Minnie to Evans Syndrome—but she was surrounded by care and love until the very end. 🌈
Melissa, our senior girl, is heading into mammary surgery this week. ❤️‍🩹
Thiago, Coral, and Cody are about to start heartworm treatment. 💌

When they first got to us, they needed everything. Huge thanks to our volunteers here in Puerto Rico—especially Baldwin School students who spent time with them, hand-fed them, and massaged their paws (inflamed from standing in their own waste for years).

And to our L4S HQ team… endless baths, preventatives, constant check-ins to make sure they were gaining weight—showing so much patience as they helped each one become whole again.

This past weekend, 8 made it safely to NYC—HUGE thanks to our friends at 🙏🏻 Cintia & Carolina will follow next week.

They’re safe now—no chains, just warmth and love—each in a foster home, finally experiencing the life they deserved all along.

Ollie made it. 🤍✈️

Last night, we flew 32 special dogs to our partners—including Ollie, who’s on his way to . Each one has a story, but today we want to share his.

It’s hard not to think about how many people saw Ollie before this… how many passed him by. They noticed him, maybe even felt something—but not enough to stop, not enough to change his story. And yet, somehow, the right people did.

When Ollie arrived at L4S headquarters, he wasn’t shut down or defeated—he came in bouncing, pure joy, a ball of happiness who hadn’t given up on people despite everything.

That’s what makes this even more special. Dogs like Ollie are still out there—visible, struggling, waiting for someone to choose them.

We’re so grateful to everyone who made last night possible—for Ollie and for all 32 dogs whose lives just changed forever.

Safe travels, sweet boy—your best days are finally ahead. 🐾
