W kalendarzu pojawiają się czasem święta nietypowe. Jedno z nich przypada właśnie dziś, a jest nim National Fast Food Day. Specjaliści od historii żywienia uważają, że współczesna wersja fast food została wynaleziona i spopularyzowana w USA na początku XX wieku. Dla miłośników hamburgerów, cheeseburgerów, hot dogów ten dzień jest dobrą wymówką, aby delektować się ulubionym przysmakiem.

Nineteen teams participated in yesterday's semi-final round of the contest based on Zoom in on America. The contest is organized by Zespół Szkół im. Ojca Świętego Jana Pawła II w Niepołomicach. :)

W półfinale konkursu opartego na materiałach Zoom in on America w Zespole Szkół w Niepołomicach wzięło udział 19 drużyn. Nasza stażystka Emily została zaproszona, aby przed konkursem przedstawić uczniom swój stan, Michigan. Po wizycie powiedziała nam: “It was a wonderful experience to see how many Polish students are learning about American culture.” A finał konkursu już wkrótce.
