🥚 Egg white (albumen) is secreted around the yolk.

📎 Isthmus (Approx. 1-2 hours):

🛡️ Inner and outer shell membranes form around the yolk and albumen.

🏗️ Uterus (Shell Gland) (Approx. 18-22 hours, avg. 20 hours):

🧱 Calcium carbonate shell forms around the membranes.

🎨 Shell pigments (if present) determine egg color.

🚪 Egg-Laying (Approx. 15-30 minutes):

💪 The fully-formed egg moves through the va**na to the cloaca.

↪️ Egg exits the hen’s body via muscular contractions through the vent.

🔄 The cycle restarts shortly after egg-laying, usually within one hour.
