It affects the sole of the hindfoot and, less commonly, the front paws of rabbit. The cause is either pressure on the skin from bearing the body weight on wire-floored cages or trauma to the skin from stamping, followed by skin infection.

Several factors, including a buildup of urine-soaked droppings, nervousness, hind-end paralysis after a spinal cord injury, and the type of wire used, may influence development of this disease. Some time genetics are also involved.

Various agents can be used to clean the sores. Topical and injected antibiotics are also used.The rabbit must be removed from the cage or given a solid floor (board or mat) on which to sit or rest.

Microcytosis is a term used to describe red blood cells that are lower than normal. Microcytic anemias are caused by conditions that prevent body from producing enough hemoglobin.

Microcytic, hypochromic anemia, is the type of anemia in which the circulating RBCs are smaller than the usual size of RBCs (microcytic) and have decreased red color (hypochromic).

The most common cause of this type of anemia is decreased iron reserves of the body which may be due to multiple reasons. This may be due to decreased iron in the diet, poor absorption of iron from the gut, acute and chronic blood loss, increased demand of iron in certain situations

Same case in named was presented at clinic, CBC performed and after interpreting results, due to critical value of PCV, RBC, & Hb, Blood transfusion was performed..
