2. *Ultrasound*: Visualizing uterine contents.
3. *Vaginoscopy*: Direct visualization of the va**na and cervix.

Disbudding is a procedure to remove the horn buds in young calves, typically performed within the first few weeks of life.

Reasons for Disbudding:
1. *Safety*: Horned cattle can be more aggressive and pose a risk to humans and other animals.
2. *Handling*: Disbudding makes handling and management easier.
3. *Welfare*: Reducing the risk of injury to other animals and handlers.

Methods:
1. *Cautery disbudding*: Using a hot iron to destroy horn buds.
2. *Chemical disbudding*: Applying caustic substances to horn buds.

Considerations:
1. *Pain management*: Disbudding can be painful; consider using pain relief measures.
2. *Age*: Disbudding is typically performed within the first 2-8 weeks of life.
3. *Veterinary guidance*: Consult with a veterinarian for proper technique and care.
