Our pets’ safety should also be a 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲!

Pets are family and we should always bring them with us during evacuation when calamities strike. Worst case scenario, if we cannot take them, at least 𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌 or free them from cages so they have a chance to move to a safer location.

We have seen many pets in the past who tragically died in leashes and cages during floods and other disasters, 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧.

AKF is looking for NINONGS and NINANGS to help with the medications and rehabilitation of our rescued animals. We can contribute to their healing and give them a chance for a furever home.

Our hearts bleed as we lost the iconic Manila Post Office to a massive fire last night that left seven people injured, and millions of assets destroyed but fundamentally claimed the lives of allegedly 30 cats that consider it home.

As we saw the historic building engulfed in flames, we lament the loss of innocent lives of the stray animals that found solace there.

We ask you Manila Central Post Office Manila Public Information Office, when you once again rise from the ashes, once we see you back in your glory, please allow the strays to seek shelter in your mighty shade. Allow the strays in the safety of your protection. Please include your furry constituents as part of your return to grandeur.

This historic building will rise, please include the stray animals in protecting and saving their lives.
