This dog was initially brought in due to paraphimosis—a condition where the p***s is unable to retract back into its sheath. After multiple attempts to manage it, it became clear there was a bigger issue: the dog could no longer urinate properly due to urethral constriction.
Upon further assessment, we proceeded with:
Castration – since the testicles had no more functional purpose
Urethrostomy – creating a new urinary passage
Pe**le Amputation – as the p***s was already necrotic and beyond saving
While it may sound extreme, this is why we strongly advocate for early castration—this case started as a mating-related paraphimosis that quickly escalated into something life-threatening. Early intervention can prevent pain, discomfort, and serious complications.
