With a heavy heart, we learned that Monday’s mom has crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. She was rescued from neglect at 3yrs old after irresponsible breeding. She’s had 3 litters of pups before we had here spayed. Monday was one of 8 healthy pups of her last litter.
Ponpon was a fierce protector of her family, Faye’s brother’s family with 3 little kids. She kept property safe and would routinely make her ‘rounds’.Monday learned guarding instincts from her-how to identify suspicious situations vs non suspicious. We used to joke that we can ignore all dog’s barks except for Ponpon’s deep confident barks because if she barked, then there really was something wrong. She only barked when there were threats and otherwise she was a playful soul, a dopey-faced scrunch fest that scared most people with her stance and her look. She was pure wrinkly beauty and we are sorry we weren’t able to say goodbye. She didn’t suffer, she just passed on quietly. That was her. Quiet, fiercely loyal. We love you and thank you Ponpon ❤️🌈
