In response to the increasing cases of CDV over the past few months, we want to ensure our community is prepared.
Canine Distemper is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems of dogs. Because there is no specific cure, prevention is the absolute best way to protect your pets.

Key Guidelines to Remember:
• Vaccination is Essential: Ensure your puppy completes their initial series (from 6 weeks) and receives annual boosters.
• Watch for Symptoms: Look out for pus-like eye/nose discharge, coughing, vomiting, or neurological signs like twitching and seizures.
• Practice Good Hygiene: Avoid shared water bowls and contact with stray dogs or wildlife in high-risk areas.

Petmed Veterinary Clinic & Grooming Station Joins the Nationwide Simultaneous Rabies Vaccination Drive! 🐾

In full support of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) campaign, “A Rabies-Free Future Starts with Me,” Petmed Veterinary Clinic & Grooming Station proudly announces our participation in the Nationwide Simultaneous Rabies Vaccination Drive on March 11, 2026.

This initiative, launched during the 93rd PVMA Convention in Iloilo City, is conducted in partnership with the Department of Agriculture through the Bureau of Animal Industry – Animal Health and Welfare Division, together with the Provincial, Municipal, and City Veterinarians League of the Philippines. It also supports the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) “Zero by 30” global program aiming to eliminate human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030.

Rabies is 100% preventable through vaccination and 100% fatal once symptoms appear. Through responsible pet ownership and sustained vaccination efforts, we can protect our families and communities.
