Since day one, they have been quietly supporting this mission. One of the cat mamas who helped pioneer and spearhead this advocacy alongside me since Furndale Cat Sanctuary began.

They may not always be seen, but they have always been there in the background guiding, helping, and standing with us through this journey.

They changed me in so many ways. My name is Yayay, and this is the life I choose , one filled with love, responsibility, late nights, messy days, and a kind of purpose that changed me for the better.

Tag-ulan na naman. Last night’s heavy rainfall hit the sanctuary hard. We discovered water seeping in from the tree side, with rain spray (“anggi”) finding its way inside, plus a major leak coming from the roof. We had to quickly move the villas and crates of the babies so they wouldn’t get soaked.

We didn’t go home right away we stayed for a while, making sure everyone was safe and dry, waiting until the rain finally eased.

This is the part people don’t always see in rescue… the late nights, the constant adjustments, the quiet worry every time the rain gets too strong. But for them, we do what needs to be done.
