At Ferndale Homes Cat Sanctuary, we rescue stray cats, nurse them back to health, and ensure they’re vaccinated and spayed/neutered to control the stray population.

Please slow down, keep your eyes on the road, and always watch out for animals. They aren’t in our way they’re simply trying to live peacefully and coexist with us.

Meet the Cats of Redwood. ❤️

When I first met their caregivers, they had never heard of TNVR. Their cats kept growing in number simply because they didn’t know there was a humane and effective way to manage the population.

Little by little, we started fixing their cats. So far, 7 cats have already been spayed/neutered, and we’re not stopping there. One mama cat with her two kittens is already lined up next. Once the kittens are old and healthy enough, we’ll have them fixed too.

This is why education is just as important as rescue. One cat at a time, one community at a time, we’re creating a better and healthier future for them. ❤️

Lately, I’ve been a little under the weather and dealing with a lot physically, but I still have to keep showing up for the babies. ❤️

Yesterday was vet day for these little ones the kittens we rescued almost two months ago. Ang bilis talaga ng panahon. Yesterday, they finally received their first dose of the 4-in-1 vaccine. 🩺🐱

This was just one of the many things on my schedule yesterday. There were other babies who also needed medical care, and I’m just so grateful that we have our ever-kind and dedicated vet who is always there whenever our rescues need him.

Thank you, Doc Leif, for always taking care of our babies. We truly appreciate you. 🙏🏻❤️

Meet Charlie, the tuxedo cat we rescued yesterday.

He has several wounds and old scars, is very thin, and severely dehydrated. Right now, we’re focusing on helping him regain his strength before we proceed with further tests with Doc Leif, including blood work, blood chemistry, and virus testing.

For now, Charlie is in isolation while we assess his health and ensure the safety of the other cats in our care.

One day at a time, Charlie. We’re rooting for you. ❤️

These are the 6 kittens and mama cat we rescued when they were still neonates and about to be dumped. ❤️

They’re growing up beautifully and we’re now preparing them for their vaccinations. At the sanctuary, we always make sure our kittens are healthy and strong before receiving their shots.

All 6 are still looking for foster or forever homes. As they grow, space becomes more limited, so we’re hoping the right families will find them soon.

Poor little guy. He looked so frail and skinny, and the moment I saw him, I knew he needed help.

So I brought him to the sanctuary. We’ll help him heal, nurse him back to health, and have him neutered when he’s ready. Once he’s fully recovered, we’ll return him to where he belongs,healthier, stronger, and with a better chance at life.

One cat, one second chance. ❤️🐾
