💙 Cody’s Journey 🐾
Cody was born with kidney dysplasia affecting both kidneys. Kidney dysplasia is a condition where one or both kidneys do not develop normally before birth. The kidney tissue and structures may be abnormal, so the kidneys may not work as efficiently as normal.
In Cody’s case, since both kidneys are affected, his kidneys may have reduced functional capacity. Some pets can remain stable for years with proper monitoring and supportive care, while others may eventually develop chronic kidney disease.
Now at 2 years old, he continues his regular renal flushing as part of his maintenance care, with close monitoring to help support his kidney function and overall health. 🩺💧
Living with a kidney condition from birth isn’t easy, but Cody continues to show just how strong and resilient he is. 🐶💙
