โBAGUMBAYAN, SULTAN KUDARAT โ In a continuous effort to bring government services closer to the grassroots level, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) Bagumbayan, led by Mr. Emmanuel L. Asug, successfully conducted a Barangay Farmers Assembly and Agri Serbisyo Caravan in Barangay Kapaya on July 17, 2026.
โThe initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Jezzel May I. Buer, the dedicated Agricultural Technician (AT) assigned to the area. The activity served as a vital platform to update local farmers on the various agricultural programs and interventions implemented by the office. More importantly, it provided a venue for dialogue, allowing the OMAG team to directly hear the concerns, challenges, and feedback of the farming community.
โTo support local agricultural productivity, the majority of the attendees received essential agricultural inputs, including high-quality seedlings, assorted seeds, planting materials, and bio-fertilizers. Informational, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were also distributed to equip farmers with the latest farming techniques and guidelines.
โAdding excitement to the event, a raffle draw was held where two fortunate participants each took home a piglet to help start or augment their livestock livelihood.
โThrough collaborative efforts like the Agri Serbisyo Caravan, OMAG Bagumbayan remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering local farmers and ensuring sustainable agricultural development across the municipality.
