UPMV K9 extends its sincere gratitude to the Pasig City Government, the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Pasig DRRMO), and Pasig K9 for inviting us to be part of the Pasig City Disaster Resilience Summit 2026, held on July 21, 2026, at the Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF) Center - Main, Ortigas East, Pasig City.

Our talk, "Paws in Preparedness: Protecting Pets When Disaster Strikes," focused on how pet owners can prepare their pets before, during, and after disasters, because preparedness includes every member of the family. Our members also had the opportunity to learn valuable insights and best practices from the other distinguished speakers, further strengthening our commitment to disaster preparedness and resilience.

We look forward to our continued partnership in promoting pet preparedness and building safer, more disaster-resilient communities—for both people and their pets.

Congratulations to Batch 13 – Kabalyero on your successful Moving Up Ceremony!

The ceremony marked the culmination of months of dedication, learning, and teamwork as Batch 13 completed their training journey. May the values they have gained continue to inspire them to strengthen community disaster resilience through preparedness, volunteerism, and service.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished guest speakers, Martin Aguda Jr., CEM, CBCP, Managing Director of Disaster Intelligence Inc. (DII) and Director of the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc., and Dr. Ma. Janetth B. Serrano, Vice President of the Philippine Society of Anaesthesiologists, for sharing their expertise and inspiring both our newest volunteers and senior members.

Batch 13 put their training into practice through a Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) exercise, giving them a glimpse of what it's like to work as a CSSR team. From communication and coordination to teamwork and problem-solving, every challenge was an opportunity to learn and grow.

Our heartfelt thanks to our senior members and instructors for your patience, guidance, and dedication in training the next generation of UPMV K9 volunteers. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Filipino-Chinese Youth Volunteer Fire Department and APVFBI K9 for their invaluable support in making this training possible.

From the Kiddie Firefighter Challenges and inspiring On The Spot Poster Making, to live CPR training and a thrilling APVFBI-SAR K9 Demonstration with UPMV K9 Search & Rescue, it was a tour full of action-packed awareness. 🔥👩🏻‍🚒🐾
