At the end of this "Inclusivity, Equity, Diversity" mantra is a saying that goes "No Pets Allowed" 🤦‍♀️🐾

These words should not only be given for beings who are able to speak and fight for their rights. Our voiceless members of the community are worthy of being given the same kind of acknowledgement, love and acceptance.

OUR PLEA TO HOOMANS ESP TO PARENTS to PET RESPONSIBLY:

Hi there, little hooman. 🐶

I'm naturally scared of all of you because sometimes you get too excited and touch me in the wrong places, sometimes aggressively so. I would bark not to scare you but to tell you I am uncomfortable with this way of handling and this is the only way I know how. This can be traumatic for me too.

Your hooman parents might mistaken and treat it as aggressiveness or worse, call me and my doggo friends "bad dogs" when all we want is to defend ourselves and be treated with mutual respect. My sweet one, a dog doesn't become bad naturally, remember how our human community treats us eventually impacts the way we respond to situations and other beings. And I hope this misinformation or stigma won't be used to cause any kind of abuse against us — whether verbal or physical. We also would like to protect our just as humans would do.

I like it when you ask for my consent before touching me and allow my friendly self to come to you just as my mom would put leash on me to make you feel safe with our interaction. And I, want to enjoy your company too. 🐾💕

Looking forward to our more enjoyable play dates and snuggles next time.

first off-leash dog park experience at the heart of BGC 🐾

Being a free-roaming island puppy from Siargao Island, it has been very challenging to move to Manila where dogs have limited space to move around and just be dogs. Just in time for his arrival in the city, the BGC Central Bark Park by , , and its partners provided the space where these energetic doggos of all sizes can socialize as well as their pet parents.

They have obstacle courses, awesome staff members who are helpful in creating a memorable experience for everyone at the park, mineral water for drinking, benches where hoomans can sit and relax and ample gated space to run freely and safely. :)

Suggested improvements: As typhoon/rainy season is around the corner, hope that more tents will be placed inside the park to cover both hoomans, staff members and pets from the rain. 🐾

Enjoy the overall experience for 100php day pass - to be paid either in GCASH or CASH. Another requirement is the doggo's vaccination card. :)

This trip's only four-legged passenger. From travelling in tricycles, cars and motorbikes in the island to riding a boat on the way to the city 🏝️🐾

Thank you Doc Jhett and Doc Jade of Isla Beterinaryo and Provincial Vet of Surigao Province for the travel pass and my vaccination to keep me and the other hoomans/dogs I will be meeting along the trip safe. 🐶
