Last year, locked down areas after the Jan 12, 2020 Taal Volcano eruption prevented pet owners from coming back for their pets. Now, as an advance and better planned evacuation is underway within the volcano's danger zones, we urge pet owners to please bring their pets with them when they evacuate to avoid stress, heartache and further tragedy.



*In 2020, PAWS, in cooperation with the Lipa City Veterinarians Office, the Philippine College of Equine Practitioners, BAI and the Department of Agriculture, has set up an evacuation area for farm animals in the DA Regional Field Office 4A grounds, in Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas. We are coordinating with officials so that this option would still be available for larger animals in need of evacuation.
