Things have been a bit crazy the last two weeks - so crazy we didn't even get the chance to stop and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to !

MALIGAYANG KAARAWAN, LENG! 🥳

With an obvious love for animals and an interest in medicine, Leng jumped head first into animal rescue and is now a devoted foster mama and dedicated member of our Board of Trustees.

We know that with the heavy rains in Puerto Galera this past week and all the ups and downs of celebrating looked a little different this year...but you are doing amazing things and helping us save lives and we are so grateful that you and Johann are part of our Tala family now! 💛

📣 Donation Drop-Off Partner Announcement

Kung nais po ninyong mag-donate ng alinman sa mga bagay na nakalista sa ibaba para sa aming rescue, maaari na po ninyo itong i-drop off sa Kusirena Cafe anumang Huwebes hanggang Linggo, mula 10:30 AM hanggang 7:30 PM.

Kami po ay lubos na umaasa sa mga donasyon, at bawat maliit na tulong ay malaking bagay na po para sa amin.

Lubos po naming kailangan ang dog food, cat food, mga tuwalya, at mga bedsheet na nasa maayos na kondisyon.

Mangyaring isaalang-alang po ang pagbibigay ng donasyon upang magpatuloy tayong sama-samang makapagligtas ng mga buhay.

Mga Kailangan Namin:

De-kalidad na dry at wet dog/cat food
Milk replacer para sa mga tuta at kuting
Mga food bowl at lalagyan ng tubig

Bagong bedding at mga tuwalya, o mga gamit na maayos at bahagyang nagamit lamang
Matitibay na leash, collar at harness

We are entirely dependent on donations and every little bit does help.

We desperately need dog food, cat food, and towels and sheets in good condition.

At only 6 weeks old, Cleo was fighting a battle no kitten should have to face…

She likely suffered from a severe feline viral infection, such as feline herpesvirus, which is common among stray kittens and can cause devastating eye infections, irreversible damage, and oftentimes death 😔

Stray kittens in places like Puerto Galera are especially vulnerable to disease because their immune systems are still developing, and they are often exposed to viruses, parasites, poor nutrition, and crowded conditions.

Mama cats can pass some infections to their kittens during pregnancy, through their milk, or through close contact after birth.

Without early veterinary care and protection, serious viral infections can quickly damage a tiny kitten’s body — and sometimes even take away something as precious as their sight ❤️‍🩹

Did you know that kittens should receive their first vaccinations when they are 2 months old?

💛 Beboi Part 2: Total Transformation

In just a few weeks, Beboi’s skin has completely healed and his hair has grown back in.

We love his little eyebrows 😍

While he finishes up his first year vaccinations we will look for a veterinarian on the island to neuter him (Kapon).
