PAG ASA Officially declares the start of SUMMER!
Here’s an important reminder to all pet parents. As the summer season approaches, please always check your fur babies for any signs of heatstroke. Heatstroke in dogs is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.
PREVENTION:
1. Always hydrate your pets
2. Allow your pets to drink small amounts of cool water
3. Place them in cool and well ventilated area
Symptoms:
1. Elevated temperature
2. Rapid heart rate
3. Excessive panthing
4. Vomiting & diarrhea
5. Restlessness
6. Weakness
7. Seizures
8. Gum color becomes pale
9. Drooling
First Aid!
1. Cool them down and move to a cold room and shaded area
2. Allow your pets to drink small amounts of water.
Immediately bring them to your vet for proper care.
