Lately, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by everything. Physically tired. Mentally exhausted. Emotionally drained. Parang ang bilis kong maubusan ng energy, losing the vibe and strength.

Adulting means showing up even on the days when you don’t feel okay. Caring for others, comforting worried pet parents, making difficult decisions, and carrying things that people may never see. But somewhere in between taking care of everyone else, I realized that I need to take care of myself, too.

I need rest. I need days off. I need to take a long walk without thinking about work. I need to dine somewhere nice, fix my messy room, breathe, slow down, and remember that my life is more than waking up and immediately standing up for work. We all struggle. We all fight silent battles. And sometimes, even the people who spend their days caring for others need someone or something to remind them that it’s okay to pause.

I’m okay. Or at least, I’m trying to be okay. And maybe that’s enough for today. I’m learning that resting doesn’t mean I’m weak, and feeling drained doesn’t mean I’m failing. It simply means tao lang din naman tayo.

A veterinarian. And sometimes, we need care, too. ❤️‍🩹🩺
