Happy National Aspin Day! It’s a day to celebrate the big hearts and bright spirits of our very own Philippine native dogs! 🐾

What was once a dog disregarded is now a symbol of our Filipino pride. Aspins are brimming with courage, loyalty, and intelligence, and they inspire us to see the beauty in every soul, no matter its breed. ✨

In 2021, PAWS officially declared National Aspin Day to give these incredible dogs the spotlight they’ve long deserved. Since then, the love for Aspins has only grown stronger, and together we continue to honor their place in our homes, our culture, and our hearts.

Meet 𝐑𝐮𝐦𝐢, a sweet stray kitten who’s been visiting the UP Open University Community Hub. While our community loves caring for cats, our current space and resources are already at full capacity to give her the care she truly deserves.

Last Seen: 27 April (Sun) near UPOU Annex

Description: Short-haired white fur with distinct dark markings. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀.

He wasn't wearing a collar because he was last seen with a skin rash in his chin. Recently, he was also seen roaming in the UPOU Main Bldg.

Notable behavior: Matakaw. Will immediately approach anyone with food, likes to headbutt anyone with food. Is also very maingay and meows loudly.
