Not everyone who shares your last name or history deserves unlimited access to your life.
Family and lifelong friends can be a source of strength, but when someone repeatedly gossips about you, judges you unfairly, or tears you down during your hardest season, it’s reasonable to protect your well-being. Setting boundaries does not always mean you hate them. Sometimes it means you are choosing peace over ongoing hurt.
Every situation is different, and where possible, honest conversation and reconciliation can be worthwhile. But if harmful patterns continue, creating distance may be necessary.
Protect your mental and emotional peace without carrying bitterness.
Because healthy relationships are built on love, trust, respect, and genuine support.
