Feline Folks Feline Folks is a non-profit, choice-based, cat foster and rescue organization founded in 2022 at the heart of Cebu City, Philippines. Cuddle, not scream!

We find homes for abandoned, neglected, and critical care felines around Cebu City, and our goal is to be able to rehome them in the most humane and scientific way possible, without neglecting and setting aside the love they need and the quality of life they deserve. We operate on small-scale so all cats can have the standard of care they have the right to. We also assist new families in ensuring

that they become equipped with information on cat behavior and choice-based companionship, and enhance such knowledge through the help of globally certified evidence-based professionals. - for Senior Cats (11 years old and above): PHP3,000.00 (USD54)
- for Kittens, Adolescent, Young Adult, and Adult Cats (10 years old and below): PHP5,000.00 (USD89)
Note: Adoption fee covers bills for castration, vaccination, critical care support, food, supplements, as well as behavior and enrichment needs for each individual cat.

Padthai is still up for adoption! And her adoption fee is waived, so she's so ready for that final home where she will live with a great family for the rest of her life 🧸

Padthai is one-eyed, but she is perky, a ball of sunshine, a little bit chatty, and everything special a kitten is. Very intelligent, curious, and loving. She thrives as a single kitten, but also with one or two other social cats in the household 🪩 Padthai also likes people and is a great companion. Padthai is up for free adoption, and should be an indoor cat throughout the rest of her life.

Two years ago, Feline Folks found a loving home for Julie, a very caring one. However, life happened for them, and these things are beyond our control. This sweet cat is in need of a loving home once more. With one of her guardians moving abroad and the other already overseas, only their kids remain, and they want the best for Julie. As it is included in our adoption contract that should major life transitions happen anytime soon, they should inform us, at least on bright side they were transparent about it ❤️

Julie is two years and eight months old, and has very good habits - using scratch posts, litter box, etc. She is much like superman, whose energy levels are at its peak. She thrives as a single cat, and also thrives in a multi-cat household. For transparency purposes, she currently lives with two other cats. She is also a playful cat, and would definitely make a great addition to your home, and hopefully you can grant that gift of forever for her.

Otherwise, go to your most trusted vet to assess their biological health 😸 Remember, scoop all litter boxes at least twice a day, and meticulously wash them monthly.

If your cat resents the litter substrate, they may not fully bypass the use of the box, but may choose to perch on the edge. This indicates them trying to actually be in the box as much as they can while also trying to reduce touching the substrate. But of course, litter aversion does not always mean that the texture and smell of the substrate is its only cause. It is also important to check other potential reasons, especially health-wise, and check with your most trusted vet on steps to take moving forward.

Feline Folks wants to remind you to ALWAYS TAKE YOUR CATS' CHOICES INTO CONSIDERATION, especially if it is for their overall benefit.

In the case of choosing a litter substrate, it might seem like a surface-level concern, but it actually affects the biological and behavioral well-being of our companions too!

If their litter boxes are too nasty, then they will surely stink. Even though we do not smell the irritating and horrible stench, our cats do. Our cats' nose is more powerful than ours', and it tells them that something is not right with their litter box(es), and what usually takes place is that, they will search for alternative ways to p*e or poo, hence potty accidents! Oops! 💩

On the other hand, the texture of the litter can also signify something in the overall litter box appeal. Most cats pick the soft, sandy texture of their litter sand.
