TOP STORY:A 23-year-old man was found on the cliff of South Hills, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City on Saturday night with his head and feet wrapped in a sack and tied up.
The man was identified as Rodem Moniva, a resident of sitio Filtro, Barangay Tisa.
Result of the police investigation revealed that the man has special needs and the act was done by himself.
According to Police Major Angelito Valleser, chief of Labangon Police Station 10, someone saw the man carrying a sack and then wrapping it around his head and rolled around on the hillside.
The police also found out that the man tried to commit su***de sometime in the last week of August by climbing a tree near the place where he was found on Saturday night.
"Wala'y tan-aw namo nga foul play kay wala pud siya'y injured nga matan-aw namo nga gibinuangan siya, naa siya'y garas sa katong iyang tiil paminaw nako sa kato ng sige og ligid-ligid niya," said Valleser.
The mother, Rubelyn Moniva, revealed that her son would talk to her and act what he saw on videos on mobile phone.
These include the video when Reah Mae Tocmo was found dead, wrapped with a cartoon and dumped on the roadside in Barangay Tisa.
"Istorya niya naa man manghonghong Sir, mura ba’g friend niya nga maghunghong kunohay og unsay buhaton. Mura og gi-portray niya iyahang kaugalingon nga siya pud kunohay si Reah nga gisud siya unya ang sako dili man dako, gagmay ra man, kanang sakoha mao ra pud ng sakoha nakit-an sa witness nga gitakob sa iyang ulo," said Valleser.
The man reportedly has special needs and he keeps drinking liquor.
The police advised the mother that if possible she should not allow her son to use a cell phone to avoid watching sensational videos that he might imitate.
“Kada adlaw na tua sa krus ni Reah og kada adlaw sige tan aw sa patayng lawas ni Reah, ga hallucinate siya, iya gi portray iya kaugalingon nga siya si Reah,” said Valleser. — Romeo D. Marantal/GMR
