Nobody hands you a roadmap when you switch your dog to fresh food. So here’s ours — honest, week by week, no promises we can’t keep.
The first 10 days are the transition window. This part matters. Going too fast is the most common first-timer mistake — your dog’s gut has been processing the same food for years, and real, whole-food ingredients are a whole new world for their microbiome. The move: 25% fresh alongside their current food for Days 1–3, then 50/50, then 75%, then 100% by Day 10. Some soft stool in those first few days is completely normal — the gut is recalibrating, not rejecting. Add Bone Broth during this phase. It supports the gut lining, eases the transition, and turns even the most suspicious eaters into very enthusiastic participants. 🦴
By Week 2, you’ll notice the digestion stabilising. More consistent stool. Less gas. A dog that finishes their bowl and looks at you like there should definitely be more.
Weeks 3–4 is when the messages start coming in. The coat getting softer. The scratching getting quieter. The eyes getting brighter. This is the omega-3s from Wild-Caught Sardines and Mackerel doing their quiet, powerful work — reducing systemic inflammation, rebuilding the skin barrier, supporting everything from the inside out. It doesn’t happen overnight. But it happens. And when it does, you’ll notice it before you expect to.
Visible results in 28 days. Not a tagline — a pattern we’ve seen play out hundreds of times with the . 💚
