Utonagan pa more...
A brief background:
Utonagan dogs look like wolves but are friendly and smart. They were created in the 1980s in the UK by crossing Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and German Shepherds to make a wolf-like companion. These dogs are good family pets because they are gentle and love being with people.

Our Furs Love
Our first dog came in March this year. We bought him at an FB dog market. The seller had posted many cute puppies for sale which were selling really quickly. After a few days, only one pup was left - the tiniest and perhaps the least attractive among the litter. We bought him and named him Breeze. Unfortunately, we had to give Breeze away before his first birthday...
Our second dog, Raye, came just a couple of weeks after we got Breeze. She’s a beautiful German Shepherd and Husky mix who took over everything Breeze’s own as soon as she got in the house. A problem we didn’t know then and didn’t handle from the beginning!
Breeze was 2 months old and Raye was almost 3 months at that time. Both eventually became buddies and were very playful. Raye protects everyone in the house and Breeze, well Breeze was the sweet one - he enjoys hugs and cuddles but at the same time gets anxious each time we leave them in the house.
Our third dog came eight months later. At the time when we were having concerns about keeping Breeze, we received a strange message from a dog breeder asking us we’d be interested in adopting a malamute! He said he went through all his inquiries before when his litter was up for sale and he had a good feeling about ours... that perhaps we’d be a great parent to his puppy which he just bought back from his client who could no longer take care of him... we were stunned.
Grateful for this miracle, we struck a deal and a month later, a tall, timid, frail looking dog came into our life! We named him after our favourite dragon, Kilgarah. Now having fully recovered, Kilgarah walks and talks like a real Alaskan Malamute - big, strong, funny, noisy and food-crazy!
Breeze, Raye and Kilgara are a blessing to us and we understood now that their love for us can never be at par with our love for them. That their love will always be pure and unconditional. And so each day we try to learn a little more about them, learn their language so that one day we can speak dog, and hopefully we can also learn to love them back as they love us.
This is our journey into the world of our furs love!
