Baka po may makatulong sa amin 💔😭

For days, we have been humbly asking for help, hoping to raise enough funds to cover our vet bills alone. But we are still far from our goal.

We know times are hard for everyone. But if you’ve ever wondered what rescue looks like behind the scenes, it looks a lot like this. Constant decisions, endless needs, and the heartbreaking reality of never having enough resources for all the animals depending on you.

Yesterday was a day of mixed emotions.

While BACH Project PH was receiving an award in recognition of our work, one of the souls who inspired that work quietly said goodbye.

Mah-Mah crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.

She was one of the many dogs we rescued from the Bacolod Dog Pound. Mah-Mah got that chance. She experienced love, safety, and care during her time with us.

As we stood on stage receiving an honor, our hearts were also grieving. Because this is the reality of rescue. Behind every award, every success story, and every life saved are countless battles, heartbreaks, and goodbyes.

Mah-Mah may have been old and blind, but she taught us how to see. She taught us resilience, trust, and the kind of love that asks for nothing in return.

This award is for animals like her. The forgotten ones. The overlooked ones. The ones who remind us that every life matters, no matter how old, sick, or imperfect they may be. The ones who remind us why we keep going despite the heartbreak.

Run free, Mah-Mah. No more darkness. Just endless fields, warm sunshine, and the love you will carry with you forever. 🌈🐾💔

We are deeply honored and grateful to receive this award.

This recognition is not just for BACH Project PH. It also belongs to every volunteer who gives their time, every donor who shares what they can, every adopter who opens their home, every veterinarian who helps us heal, and every supporter who believes that animals deserve compassion and a chance at a better life.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Greg Gasataya, Congressman Albee Benitez, and Councilor Javi Benitez for recognizing the importance of animal welfare and for believing in the work that organizations like ours do for the community.

There are days when rescue work is heartbreaking. There are days when we question if we are doing enough. Receiving this award reminds us that every life saved matters and that kindness creates a ripple effect far beyond what we can see.

Thank you for this honor. We accept it on behalf of the voiceless animals who inspire us to keep going every single day.

Veterinary bills continue to pile up, daily expenses never stop, and donations have become fewer and fewer.

Many times, we’ve used our own money just to make sure the animals eat, get their medicines, or make it through another day. But lately, it has become harder and harder to keep up.

With humble hearts, we beg you for your support. 😭

What if the LGU led a city-wide TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return/Rehome) program?

Imagine fewer puppies and kittens being born on the streets each year. Imagine healthier community pets, fewer animal welfare complaints, and less strain on rescuers and volunteers who are often left to manage the problem on their own.

Imagine barangays working together with caregivers, veterinarians, and animal welfare groups to humanely manage cat and dog populations through sterilization, vaccination, monitoring, and responsible rehoming whenever possible.

Rescuers and volunteers have long carried much of this work on their own. What could happen if TNVR became a coordinated city-wide effort?

TNVR is not a quick fix. But with consistent implementation, it can create lasting change for animals, communities, and the city as a whole.

What changes would you like to see in your city if the LGU adopted and actively implemented a city-wide TNVR program? If the city invested in TNVR, what changes would you hope to see within five years?

Real change happens when people come together for a common purpose.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Forbes Hill for opening its doors and embracing a community-based approach to animal welfare. By supporting the sterilization and vaccination of community pets, Forbes Hill is setting an example of what a truly pet-friendly community can look like.

A special thank you to Dr. Jec Cabuguason, City Veterinarian of Victorias City, for sharing not only his expertise but also his passion for responsible pet ownership and population management. Programs like these would not be possible without veterinarians who choose to go beyond their clinics and into the communities that need them most.

We are also grateful to PetHub Ph for sponsoring identification tags for the community pets. These tags may seem simple, but they play an important role in helping identify dogs that have already undergone sterilization and vaccination, promoting responsible community care and protection.

Today, the community dogs of Forbes Hill are slowly being spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and properly identified. Once recovered, they are returned to the area where they are cared for and looked after by the people around them.

We hope more communities, businesses, veterinarians, and animal lovers will be inspired by this partnership. Together, we can create safer, healthier communities for both people and animals—one pet at a time.
