In a world where so many animals are abandoned and forgotten, moments like this remind us why we continue.

To some, they are “just animals.” But to us, they are lives that deserve love, care, and a safe place to call home.

It’s already 5PM. We’re here, quietly sipping coffee after a long and exhausting day. The cats are roaming freely around us, some sleeping peacefully on the grass, some climbing trees, others simply watching us like they know they are finally safe.

And for a moment, everything feels calm.

But behind this peaceful view are hundreds of lives depending on us every single day. Every food bowl, every medicine, every rescue, every unpaid vet bill, every sleepless night… all carried by a small group of tired people just trying their best not to fail them.

Sometimes we wonder how long we can keep going like this. But when these once-abandoned animals look at us with trust and comfort, we know we cannot give up that easily.

We just pray that help continues to come because they have no one else but us.

🚨 HELP NEEDED FOR THIS DOG 🚨

📍 Burgos Market, Bacolod City

This dog was reported to us with a severe deep open wound on the neck area and badly needs immediate medical attention. The wound appears severe and may have been caused by a sharp object.

As much as we want to rescue and help her, our rescue operation is currently closed due to overwhelming vet bills and ongoing shelter expenses. We still have multiple rescues confined in clinics and under treatment, and we honestly no longer have enough funds to take in new cases at the moment.

We are now asking the public, nearby rescuers, fosters, or anyone willing to help, to please extend immediate assistance to this dog. She needs help as soon as possible.

Please comment, share, or tag someone who may be able to rescue or assist her.

To our volunteers,

Thank you for continuing to show up even when everything is already heavy. I know many of us are exhausted, overwhelmed, and silently struggling. There are days when it feels like no matter how hard we try, it is still not enough.

But please do not give up.

Every kennel cleaned, every bowl prepared, every rescue carried, every animal comforted — all of it matters more than you realize. These animals survived because someone chose to care, and that someone is you.

I know we are tired. I know some of us are breaking quietly. But please remember that you are not carrying this burden alone. We are in this together.

Thank you for staying kind in a world that can be so cruel to animals. Thank you for loving them despite how difficult this journey has become.

Please stay strong a little longer.

This is the reality outside our shelter.

Every day, we see hungry puppies, kittens, ducks, chickens, and stray animals trying to survive together on the streets. They fighting hunger with whatever little food they can find.

And every day, we carry the painful guilt of knowing we cannot save them all. Not because we do not care, but because we are already overwhelmed with vet bills, unpaid expenses, and more than 300 rescued animals depending on us daily.

Some people ask us why we cannot rescue every animal reported to us. These photos are the answer. The problem is far bigger than one shelter can carry alone.

Yesterday, because of one kind sponsor, we were able to feed hundreds of stray animals around BREDCO Port. Moments like this remind us that compassion still exists, and that even one person can make a huge difference in the lives of animals struggling to survive every day.

Please help us continue feeding, rescuing, and fighting for animals who have no voice. Even the smallest donation, share, adoption, or sponsorship can help save lives.

Lord, we are tired.

There are days we no longer know how to continue. The bills keep growing, the animals keep needing help, and our hearts are becoming heavier each day. We try to stay strong for them, but lately, we are overwhelmed, exhausted, and slowly losing hope.

You know the silent cries behind every rescue, every sleepless night, every unpaid bill, every animal we fought so hard to save. You know how many times we wanted to give up but still chose to continue because these animals have no one else.

Please give us strength when we feel weak, hope when everything feels impossible, and peace in the middle of this chaos. Send the right people to help us carry this burden. Remind us that even the smallest act of compassion matters.

Please send us strength, because we are starting to break. And if we are already too tired to keep going, please hold us together for the sake of the lives depending on us.

Amen.

WITH A HEAVY HEART, OUR RESCUE OPERATION REMAINS CLOSED 💔

We are completely overwhelmed.

From May 5–15 alone, our total vet bills already reached ₱110,651. We were only able to pay ₱31,996, leaving us with a remaining balance of ₱78,655 while more rescues continue fighting for their lives in clinics. And it still grows…

At the shelter, our situation is becoming harder every day. Rice is only enough for a few more days. Dog food may only last 5 more days. Canned food may only survive 3 more days.

And behind all these numbers are almost 300 rescued animals depending on us daily to survive.

We are tired physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. There are nights we honestly do not know where to get funds anymore, but we still wake up every day trying because the animals have no one else.

As much as it breaks our hearts, we cannot continue rescuing while we are drowning in unpaid bills and struggling to sustain the animals already under our care.

We are once again begging for help. For donations, sponsors, adopters, sharers, or anyone willing to stand with us during one of the hardest moments we have faced as rescuers.

A cat suffered severe burns after being burned with hot cooking oil or water, which was also confirmed during veterinary assessment.

No animal deserves to experience this kind of pain. While some may ignore stray animals, they still feel fear, suffering, and hunger just like any living being.

We are once again begging the public to choose compassion and kindness toward animals. If you cannot help them, please do not hurt them.

We are also humbly asking for donations to help cover this cat’s treatment and medications. Any amount would mean so much for this cat’s recovery.

We often talk about irresponsible pet owners when it comes to stray animals.

But do irresponsible breeders also play a major role?

We’d love to hear your thoughts respectfully in the comments.
