Garfield has been lethargic and dehydrated since Friday. He has been diarrheic and inaappetent as well. After doing some laboratory tests he tested positive for Feline Panleukopenia virus. 😞💔

Unfortunately he lives with other rescues in the cattery. Around 20 cats in total. Let us pray for the other cats they will not get sick. 🙏🙏🙏

Get well soon to Skittles. 🌈🍬

Tick infestation in dog can lead to life threatening illness. However this can be prevented with ectoparasite control. There are options when it comes to tick prevention depending on the clients budget and the pet's lifestyle.

Skittles was brought in with chief complaint of dark and tarry stool. She's infested with ticks upon presentation even if she's just an indoor dog with no contact with soil. However there's a dog from their neighbor that has contact with her. Lab tests were done and she tested positive with Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis.

Tick borne diseases are very challenging to treat but this can be prevented with anti tick medication.

Antibiotics and supplements were prescribed to help her. Get better soon Skittles! 🙏🙏🙏

Our page just received a message now from a person with a name Claud ****** Saying he dumped two kittens in our clinic (do not know where he placed it).

WE ARE NOT A DUMP SITE FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS.

As humans, claiming we are the highest forms of thinking beings, if you feel that an animal is in danger do something about it and please report it properly and accordingly to the LGU like the barangay so that they can asses and help with the situation. We have city vet offices per municipality and town which are capable to help us. NOT pass the responsibility to other people and feel compassionate afterwards.

Hindi pwede na maaawa ka and may love for animals ka and may compassion ka sa mga hayop pero takot ka or hindi mo kaya ang resposibilidad at worst ipapasa mo sa iba ang responsibility. 👎👎👎

HINDI PWEDENG MAAAWA LANG PERO WALANG MAGAWA. Pass na tayo sa ganitong mentalidad.

Nakakasawa na yung mga "kunyari" lang na may pakialam. Kailangan natin umaksyon.

Even the animal welfare agencies are closing down due to lack of budget and man power to sustain their rescues. Because people just keep on dumping these animals.

If each people will stand up and be responsible enough then we can do so much.

Again hindi pwede na maawa ka lang at may compassion ka pero walang urge ng responsibility and efforts to better the lives of these animals.

We have been doing our part as a vet clinic in helping rehoming strays, adopting, feeding, giving away medications and vaccinations. Even free services sa mga tunay na may pakialam. Countless countless efforts na.

So ikaw na nag message, you have to rethink of your principles with regards to compassion for these stray animals. Hanggang saan ang aabutin ng compassion, love and responsibility mo? Again hindi pwedeng naaawa ka lang period tapos ipasa na sa iba ang responsibility kasi hindi na kaya.

ABANDONMENT OF ANIMALS IS A CRIME.

Sa sunod kung hindi mo kayang mag take ng responsibility lampasan mo na lang, baka yung susunod na makakita at makapulot mas maganda ang magawa kaysa sa ipasa yung responsibilidad sa ibang tao.

Kaya may CCTV na kami sa harap ng clinic para naman marecord and mavideo ang mga iresponsableng mga tao.

She has been coughing recently specially in the evening. Luckily she tested negative for heartworm. She is now on medication and hopefully this will resolve soon!
For older or geriatric dogs coughing may also be a clinical sign not only for infectious diseases brought by bacteria or viruses but also for cardiogenic diseases. ❤

Make sure to have your pets tested for cardiovascular biomarkers espcially when they reach the age of 5!

Loki has been having a hard time urinating. He keeps on coming back on his cat litter and takes some time before he can p*e. Yesterday he has already presence of blood in his urine. Luckily his blood values are still within normal range!
