๐ To Our Wainuiomata Pet Community ๐
We want to take a moment to thank our amazing clients and animals for their ongoing support, understanding and consideration of our team.
Right now, CareVets Wainuiomata is operating with just two dedicated vets, both of whom are working overtime to provide the best possible care for the pets in our community. Weโre doing everything we can to meet demand while actively trying to recruit another full-time veterinarian to join our team.
With over 16,000 people in Wainuiomata, it's simply not possible to accommodate every request we receive.
Please remember, our vetsโ days are full โ from consults, surgeries, x-rays, emergency care and hospital patients to prescription refills, callbacks, and ongoing research to ensure top-quality care โ often working through their break times and staying late. This means there will be wait times and it is unfair to pressure our staff into prioritising you.
We refuse to compromise on the standard of care we provide. We also want to protect the wellbeing of our hardworking team who have been giving it their all.
โ
Plan ahead for routine consults, surgeries, and repeat medications โ book well in advance.
๐
Appointments will be scheduled based on urgency and availability. If youโd prefer to be seen sooner, we can suggest our other CareVets clinicsโ and we understand if you choose to go elsewhere.
๐ Call at 8:00am for the best chance to book a same-day emergency slot.
๐จ Emergencies will always be prioritised, but this may mean non-urgent appointments are rescheduled.
โ If your animal needs urgent care after hours, go directly to the Wellington After Hours Vet Clinic โ do not wait until morning to call us.
So please โ be kind, be patient, and know that weโre truly doing our best.
