We are so very fortunate that our Brightwater Black Adder left us the most exquisite purebred c**t to continue his magnificent legacy when the time comes.

Our very own mini me/carbon copy/spitting image of Brightwater Black Adder all stamped on Embrace Twilight Checkmate (Chess)

He has some superb bloodlines from both his Sire & Dam and we are super excited to see how he matures, as he looks more like his father every day, which has been some comfort throughout the grieving process.

Finally back to NZ & our friends have kindly laid Brightwater Black Adder to rest in his paddock where he lived with & for his mares.
The absence of his presence is heart wrenching 💔

It is with immense heartbreak that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved stallion, Brightwater Black Adder.
He was found in his paddock this morning, and his sudden, unexpected departure has left us shattered.

Black Adder was not only the cornerstone of our breeding program but also the gentlest and most patient soul we’ve had the privilege to know. He was a dream to work with in every way, and his calm, kind nature touched everyone who met him.

He has left us with a legacy of exceptional foals who carry his strength, grace, and spirit forward. Through them, his influence will live on.

Right now, there are no words that can truly express the depth of our grief. We thank you for your understanding as we take time to process this tremendous loss.

What wild weather we are having 💨
Earlier this week I started rug training for Elmo & Chess our 7mth old weanlings. They've not needed to wear a cover yet, but with the foreboding forecast I knew we needed to get prepared!
Thankfully, to my relief after a few days training both boys are now comfortable & warm in their covers 🥰

This horrible weather can hurry up & bu**er off!
