🎆 Fireworks Awareness – Help for Your Pets 🎆

With fireworks likely around this weekend, it’s a good time to think about how to help keep your pets calm and comfortable. Here are a few simple ways to prepare:

🐾 Bring pets indoors early – Close windows and curtains to soften the sounds and flashes.

🛋️ Create a safe, cosy space – Set up a quiet area with their favourite blanket or toy where they can retreat if they feel unsettled.

🎶 Soothing background noise – Play gentle music, the TV, or white noise to help them feel more at ease.

🏃 Give them an early walk or playtime – A bit of exercise earlier in the day can help them relax later in the evening.

🔖 Check ID details – Make sure their microchip and collar tag details are up to date, just in case they wander off.

💬 Need extra support? – Our team is here to help. If your pet is especially anxious around loud noises, please reach out — we can discuss options to make this time easier for them.

It’s not as simple as the old “multiply by seven” rule — pets age differently depending on their size and species!

💡 Dogs reach their teens in their first year, smaller breeds age slower than larger ones, and cats… well, they pack a lot of life experience into those first two years! 🐶🐱
