Before I end this tribute I must again mention the well decorated DTA Extreme Envy (CRA Sihr Shahrif x Rayjan Demelza) 2012 National Champion Intermediate Purebred Gelding, 2018 Champion Senior Purebred Gelding and 2020 Champion Purebred Paced and Mannered exhibit.I hope I havent missed too many, a lot of water has gone under the bridge. It was an amazing journey for us that started with a visit to Bremervale all those years ago but we wouldn't change a thing. When the time came to look for another stallion we were fortunate enough to be in USA and purchased the lovely Enzo son CRA Sihr Shahrif+Us x Fame MagicVF, he complimented the Bremervale bred mares so well, he had a superb nature and his stock were so trainable, he was a pleasure to own, it was devastating to loose him but he did a grand job and we could not have asked anything more of him, I think Warwick and Jill would have approved of our choice. Rayjan Hollee never produced many foals compared to some of her sisters but her trump card happened when we sent her to Mel Gubb's stud in the North Island and bred her to the NV Elite+Us son WA Rouge Elite+Us, she produced an exceptional bay filly, Rayjan Aimee 2012 National Champion Senior Purebred Mare and her filly foal at foot, Rayjan Jumana (CRA Sihr Shahrif+Us) was National Champion Junior Filly. R. Aimee was also the dam of of Rayjan Julee, 2020 National Champion Junior Filly.

Carrying on from the success of Bremervale Shalimar+Au one must mention the lovely Rayjan Heiress, sister to Hollee and Heath, she was 2014 National Reserve Senior Champion Purebred Mare and her filly foal at foot, Rayjan Khandi (CRA Sihr Shahrif+Us) was Junior Champion Purebred Filly. Many others from this family have done well in the showring, too many for me to remember.

We have never bred to show but it is always good to get some of our stock out and about and some of the folks who have purchased from us have had a good deal of success in the showring, so the legacy goes on. Have pictured a few of the successful progeny over the years. A major contributor to the many success's was the Rave VF+US (Bey Shah x Raffoleta Rose) mare Bremervale Shalimar x Bremervale's Spanish Princess, she left an illustrious family, many have bred on. Pictured is Rayjan Hollee, went to the National Show in Christchurch but due to getting a nasty kick on the hind leg never got any further than the collecting ring. Also pictured is her beautiful son Rayjan Aiden (he was a SI Champion C**t as a youngster) by the Enzo stallion that we imported from the USA, CRA Sihr Shahrif. Another well decorated Shalimar son was Rayjan Heath 2014 and 2016 NZAHBS National Ch. Senior Gelding and 2014 National Supreme Purebred Exhibit plus far too many awards to mention

Last week was a time of sadness and reflection as I watched on live stream the funeral held for Warwick Toft, a much loved son, husband, father, brother and friend to many all over the world, a great horseman and trainer, taken way too soon. The Arabian world has suffered a huge loss. Personally we are very much indebted to Warwick and his mother Jill, they gave us the opportunity to build our stud on the nucleus of some wonderful Bremervale mares and stallions, we have never changed our focus and we are forever in their debt. Even though we are now retired from breeding the success of these selections are still coming through the generations and I wouldn't change any of our choices. They were selected for being sound well conformed horses, good temperaments, and ability to be great riding horses,which after all is what a horse is for, to be ridden and enjoyed. Thank you Warwick and Jill for the legacy you enabled us to create. Was really pleased to see Rayjan Julee (CRA Sihr Shahrif + US x Rayjan Aimee) compete so well at the National Show. She has had very little show training and had a new handler and she was pretty relaxed about the whole affair (rather see her like that than standing on her ear!!) She had some Top 3's and won a lot of fans along the way

These photos are published with the kind permission of Della Marie and Seren Carr, who now own Lady, thank you, she is in a loving, caring home and is competing so very well under saddle, she was previously and NZ National Champion Purebred Mare. Her dam is the other daughter of Bremervale Tequila, Rayjan Danika, the only purebred she had, such a shame there were not more but the few there are have left quite a legacy.

We are not breeding anymore, after 50 or so years we have called it a day. Don't go to many shows now but it is great to see descendants of stock that we imported many years ago holding their own in today's show ring. I always selected my mares very carefully, they are the cornerstone of any good breeding program. The first mare I imported was the Spanish bred Bremervale Tequila, she was the first Spanish bred to be imported in NZ, way back in the 1980's. She was successfully shown, a great riding horse with a superb temperament but she had a reluctance to produce fillies, she only had two, both by Bremervale Pocohontas who in turn had lines to WN Dasjmir (US) and the beautiful Spanish mare Polacca. It was wonderful to go to the National Titles show and see DTA Extreme Destinee a B.Tequila grand daughter out of Rayjan Demelza be awarded Top 3 Purebred Mare and she was shown with foal at foot and in foal again, and in turn her charming filly was awarded National Champion Purebred Junior Filly. R.Demelza was a super broodmare but sadly her life was cut too short, so not many progeny but one must mention DTA Extreme Envy, a multi champion Gelding both in hand and under saddle, he has a record to be proud of

Just a few more, one of my favorites WA Audacious Lady, (photos 1-6) proves that there is useful life after being crowned NZ National Champion Purebred Mare, she is now the cosumate youth pony, She is all Rayjan breeding, conceived here on our property but the dam was sold in foal and Lady was the result. Her dam was Rayjan Danika. A big thank you to Glenis Harris for finding her the best possible home. Photos 7&8 Rayjan Aiden x Rayjan Hollee, now enjoying a more laid back lifestyle. Finally a super star, DTA Extreme Envy, not bred by us but he is all Rayjan breeding, like all the others he is by CRA Sihr Shahrif+US and his dam is Rayjan Demelza.
