Finding Freedom in the Now – The Long Journey

Finding peace and freedom is not always simple; it is often a long, winding journey.

The freedom of living now, in this moment, is not about giving up hope or abandoning growth. It is about learning to return, again and again, to acceptance. Accepting today, this minute, this breath, exactly as it is.

Sometimes, that acceptance feels like a bite, a sting, a sharp reminder of what we wish were different.
Sometimes, it feels like standing inside a storm you cannot calm. There are days when it feels like there's no progress at all, just the weight of the climb.

And yet, even amidst the struggles and conflicts of what cannot be changed, there can be a quiet freedom.
A fragile peace.
Not because the struggle has ended, but because we have learned to meet it with presence rather than resistance.

This is the long work of the soul,
to walk through discomfort without closing off,
to meet truth without flinching,
to soften into what is, when every instinct says harden.

Freedom is not found in waiting for a perfect future.
Peace is not earned by fixing every imperfection.
They arrive slowly, gently, through the practice of surrender, through the courage to breathe, to stay, to begin again.

Acceptance does not mean resignation. It means living fully present, holding space for growth while resting in the gift of now.
It is the paradox of being human to both embrace this moment and move forward with intention.

Finding freedom through acceptance.
Finding peace through accepting.
Even through the struggle.

As in life, as with horses.

The Bridge Between Dreams and Now

This is where the horse teaches us.

Every horse I meet reminds me that the moment in hand, the step we are in together, is the only one we truly have. And yet, each step holds the seed of the dream we carry.

So I ask myself:
How do I honour both?
How do I live fully in the present and keep moving toward the life I long for?

The answer, for me, is accountability. To keep showing up. To keep asking myself the hard questions:
• Am I living in alignment with what I value most?
• Am I giving my energy to what inspires me?
• Am I walking toward my dreams, or away from them?

When I hold myself accountable to those questions, I find a steadier kind of acceptance. One that doesn’t feel like resignation, but like grounding. And from that ground, I can move forward.

An Invitation

So I turn the questions toward you:
• What inspires you to work deeper?
• Where are you pouring your precious moments?
• And what would shift if you gave more of them to your truest values, your deepest dreams?

Your horse already knows the answers. They are waiting for you to listen.

Life doesn’t always follow a straight line. These past months have been full, and only now am I openly sharing the clinics and lesson days that are close to my heart. Each one is an invitation to step into stillness, softness, and soulful connection with your horse.

Each clinic runs as a 2 to 5-day experience. You’re welcome to join for the full five days of the intensive, or come for just a few days if that suits you and your horse best.

These clinics are not about rushing or “getting it done.” They are about listening, refining communication, and finding the sacred conversation between you and your horse.

The Dance of Acceptance

Lately, I’ve been wrestling with acceptance.

We talk about acceptance as if it is simple, this is how things are, I accept it. But more often than not, our acceptance comes with an unspoken clause, I accept this… for now. Because surely it will change. Surely it won’t always be like this.

And that’s where the struggle lies. Because sometimes, it doesn’t change. Or it doesn’t change in the way we wanted.

True acceptance is not bargaining with the future. It’s not telling ourselves that things will be easier tomorrow. True acceptance is standing in the now, exactly as it is, and saying, "This is what I have. This is what I will work with. Today."

It’s not easy.
Especially when we carry dreams that whisper of another way.
Especially when our hearts long for something different, or freer, or lighter. But to live only in that longing is to miss the beauty of this

Other People Inspire Me to Work Deeper

When I watch someone with their horse, whether in a clinic, a private lesson, or even just a quiet moment, it reminds me of why I love this path. I am drawn in by their courage, their vulnerability, their willingness to try. It calls me to listen more, soften more, and search deeper inside myself.

I love going to clinics. I love coaching them. I love the privilege of being trusted enough to step into the circle of someone’s relationship with their horse.
It is no small thing to be invited into that space. To witness, even for a moment, the bond that has carried them this far and the dream that pulls them forward.

That’s really what I am, a relationship coach. Not just for horses, but for the relationship, the living, breathing bridge between horse and human. I am called to help bring balance and wellness to that bridge. To help both beings feel safe, steady, and understood.

And people often thank me afterwards. They tell me what I’ve offered is therapy. But the truth is, it’s my therapy.
I’m simply listening, alongside them, as they speak their hopes, dreams and struggles out loud in the company of their horse.

The Questions That Always Return

In those moments, I often wonder:-

What if I lived every day the way I live those moments?
What if I stopped wasting the small spaces of time and instead poured them into what inspires me most?
Where would I be going then?
What would I be creating?
Who would I be becoming?

These questions are not about chasing more, but about aligning with what matters most.
