Needlenose Hound Services - exclusive Greyhound walking, care & homestays Welcome to Needlenose Hound Services, the experienced hired help and homestays exclusively for retired greyhounds We offer local walking and home visits too.

Our mission is to provide expert, experienced, loving care to your hound during their stay with us. Your hound will be part of our existing greyhound families and will live inside at all times, we are a true homestay. Access to 20 acres of greyhound safe paddocks and oodles of walks means plenty of exercise is available and a dedicated greyhound "recreation" paddock is well used for zoomies and so

cial fun and play. Our daystays are a structured enjoyable day of walking, lounging and socialising and they are great for the shy hound to find their feet. We love greyhounds and take our job seriously, safe secure surroundings and great company is what we provide. Our team of 5 homestay locations are always with your hound 24/7. Our pick up/drop off service is well utilised and our flexibility accommodates all your requirements. We were very fortunate to have another visit from lovely Lilly. She is a delightful hound who loves spending time with us and she is great company. She went on several adventures which involved some very detailed sniffing, even daring to go out in the rain. She got to spend some time chilling with Needlenosers, Harry and Keeley. They got on well and enjoyed zoomies and many hours snoozing in the sun!

We've had the pleasure of hosting beautiful Graham (Loose Donald) while his parentalz went to get him a new hooman brother 👀💓
Graham is known as "5 minute Graham" cos that's how long it takes to find the couch and become part of the whānau, love love having him stay 😍
Still part kangaroo, he's definitely a bit slower these days.... and we know he'll be the gentlest big bro.

We loved looking after young Murphy, a super sweet day stay visitor who spent some time with us while renovations were going on at her home. Murphy is only two and is full of energy, excitement and joy. She got on very well with the wonderful Theo (8, Hashtag Blessed) who was visiting on a 6 week holiday while his hoomins travelled. Theo quickly became like a big brother for her - entertaining her with friendly play, leading the way on walks and even sharing his bed as she was so keen to be close to him. What a good boy! It is so nice when houndies become fast friends and enjoy each others company.

Our lovely OG Frankie (Cue Power) has been staying with Needlenose for 4.5 weeks & my heart was a little heavy when he left.
He has been a favourite guest with NN since 2017 when he was 5, this year he will turn 13 so we have watched him grow old, with special care taken as he aged. Apart from being diabetic and a bit stiff, he managed to have everything his way, romped in the paddock and ruled with a brindlelonian paw. Note most pics are doing what Frankie did best………..sleeping ❤️❤️

A big warm Needlenose welcome back to Charlie (Zipline Marjen). This beautiful older girl has been a total delight to have around, enjoying slow sniffaris with Brum, making her beds just so, couching, roaching, gentle zoomies and telling us exactly how things should be!

Greyt to see old friends and new, and although it was a bit wet underfoot we mixed and mingled, walked, zoomed and ate delicious food 😅

Recently we've welcomed newbie Puma (Hot Noise) to Needlenose Ōtaki, who's just 3 and a big handsome lad who's loving pet life. He joined returning guest Twiggy (King Theoden) who's enjoying a long stay. It's been lovely having 3 hounds in the house again 💓

For a lovely few weeks we enjoyed the company of sweet Nala (Bombshell Blonde). She absolutely loved going for long walks and was very adventurous and investigated every interestingness we came across. After our sniffathalons, she enjoyed spending many hours seriously snoozing on the deck in the sun or chilling in the hound cave!
