s/cats are provided with TLC, quality food, vet treatment as required, and socialisation. Prior to adoption they are desexed, microchipped, receive at least one vaccination, and are up to date with flea & worm treatments.

There is 2 young mama cats and 2 kittens available for adoption in Wainuiomata, on Saturday 26th.

MAMAS
Tabby - Anjali
Grey tabby - Yofi

GIRLS
Black - Vader aged 5.5mths
Tabby - Ingrid aged 6mths

They have all been desexed, had at least one vaccination, are microchipped, and up to date with flea and worm treatments. There’s a required adoption donation of $215 (one vax) or $265 (two vax) each to go toward covering their costs. They will come with a pack of the food they’ve been eating.

Appointments are available in Wainuiomata, on Saturday 26th at:

You and your household get 30mins to hang out with the kittens and see who you bond with. It’s best to being everyone who lives in your home, and no one that doesn’t.

Today I gave myself a much needed day off-off. What this means is no peopling and no social media, but still many kitties to care for. It was a luxury to do this with no interruptions and to have some time to hang out with the permanent residents 🥰

Delicious wee Whiskey is significantly less spicy today so it’s not going to be long at all until we’re friends 🩷 I’ve received a number of messages from people wanting to adopt her or foster her. She’s not looking for a foster home, and she’ll not be up for adoption until early June (at a guess). But if you’re looking to foster or adopt in general, here’s some information…

This exquisite creature is Whiskey. Late this afternoon her and her mama were spotted by some dumpsters, and the people were able to grab her. Kate is aware of the situation and will be setting a trap soon to hopefully catch mum.

Whiskey is skin, bone and floof. I’d say she’s around 8wks but she weighs the same as a healthy 4wk old 😢 Whiskey isn’t wildborn, yet somehow she’s found herself on the streets scavenging for her next meal. Which, if you could feel her, you’d know the scavenging hasn’t been very successful at all 😭

Whiskey’s new life starts today 🩷 And hopefully it won’t be too long before we have her mama off the streets too 🤞

I want to get all 8 kitties adopted this weekend so starting on Saturday. Any not adopted on Saturday will be available in Kilbirnie on Sunday (and Monday if needed).

There will be 3 young mama cats and 5 kittens available for adoption in Wainuiomata, on Saturday 26th.

Cameo - Louis aged 4.5mths, Neddy aged 3.5mths
Tabby - Anaru aged 5mths, Wiggle aged 4mths, Murray aged 4.5mths

This sweet baby angel is Mindy. She’s been in FN care for 10 days now and she’s slowly putting her time living rough in Horokiwi Quarry behind her. Unlimited kitten food delivered to her “room” is a significant improvement on eating plants and whatever else she could find to stop her belly rumbling 😢

She’s clearly had a home once, because she’s honestly the sweetest little thing and all she wants is snuggles from everyone she meets 🩷

Sad news.

Teeny baby Ernie didn’t make it. Early yesterday evening, he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Unfortunately, fleas had sucked too much blood out of him and his little body couldn’t keep going.

He had a good 48hrs where he was warm, loved, and had a full belly.

R.I.P. Ernie 💔

If you have a few spare dollars to donate, or are looking to set up a regular donation to an animal charity - can I suggest an independent rescue.

It’s the independent rescues who worked right through Easter. If they took a break from their day job they will have worked even harder in the rescue. I follow loads of rescue pages throughout NZ and some of them have had some truly awful situations to deal with. I’m also sure they were all also told things like “enjoy the break” “have a nice long weekend” as I was 🤦‍♀️🤣

It’s the independent rescues who will take in emergencies at any time, not just during office hours. Last Tuesday afternoon, someone called SPCA about some tiny baby kittens. Their mum hadn’t been seen in a few days and one of the kittens had died. SPCA told the caller they were closed and to just drop them to a vet clinic 😳 Not sure what time the call was made, but it was 4.55pm when I received a message from the vet clinic to say they’d had some wee babies dropped off and could I help.

These three babies are approx 4wks old and weigh the same as kittens half their age 😢 Very grateful to the finders for seeking help because at least one of them wouldn’t have survived another 24hrs, and the other two wouldn’t have survived the weekend. It’s been a stressful time caring for them - and will continue to be for a while. They are at least all loving their food, and like to climb in the bowl to eat 😅

Please do look out for your independent rescue. If you can afford a donation, you’ll find bank details on their page. And there’s no need to apologise if it’s only $1 - everyone is telling the truth when they say it’s hugely appreciated and does all add up. If you can’t afford donation, please like / share / engage with posts. It costs you nothing to follow a page, but can hugely help the reach of that rescue.

Milo is such a good friends to the few kittens allowed to roam free at HQ 😍 Mostly, it’s the little weirdos who we’re still figuring out what their deal is… like Pearl.

Pearl is approx 5mths old, weighs in at a healthy 3mth old weight, and although technically she weighs enough to be speyed we won’t be doing it anytime soon as she’s basically just skinny little legs and a giant belly 🤷‍♀️
