July 6 is World Zoonoses Day!

Noo, that’s not a day about noses in a zoo 🙊

Zoonoses are diseases that can spread from animals to people – things like roundworm, toxoplasmosis, cat scratch disease or salmonella. Luckily, with proper care, good hygiene and regular vet check-ups, the risks are low.

So, let’s keep ourselves and our furry friends healthy and safe. 🙌🐈🐕‍🦺

Talk to your vet about vaccination, parasite protection, and general good hygiene. We’re always here to help.

"Down cows? That’s something that I don’t need to worry about happening until spring...” you might be thinking. But now is the time to start planning how to prevent the impacts of those down cows ⬇️🐮

They're not only costly, they also have a higher chance of having metritis, mastitis, and reproductive issues going forward.

So, if you treated a lot of milk fever last spring, or you just want to have less problems next spring, prevention through nutrition might be the solution 💡

Find out more here:

Not only are there costs and potential losses, cows who go down also have a higher chance of having metritis, mastitis, and reproductive issues going forward.

Happy long weekend everyone!

Our vets and techs are certainly looking forward to it after a busy few weeks drying off and teat sealing on dairy farms across the region 😴

We hope you get to spend some time enjoying hobbies, catching up with family or friends, or simply putting your feet up.
