4 Friendly Cats Needing New Homes (Auckland)
Four Beautiful Cats in Need of Loving Homes – Auckland 🐾

Due to a change in the owner's living situation, four much-loved cats are in need of new homes. Each has a sweet, affectionate personality and is used to both children and the outdoors. They are all comfortable using a cat door and are well-socialised.

Meet the cats:

🐱 Blue – Grey, Female, approx. 3 months old
A gentle, curious young kitten with a playful streak. She’s affectionate and settling into her personality beautifully.

🐱 Gizmo – Ginger, Male, 10 months old
Very cuddly and friendly, especially with small children. He’s a confident, outgoing boy who loves attention and play.

🐱 Milo – Black, Male, 8 months old, Desexed
A sweet-natured cat with a relaxed temperament. Milo enjoys both indoor naps and outdoor adventures.

🐱 Truffles – Multicolour, Female, 17 months old, Desexed
An elegant, affectionate cat who bonds deeply with her humans. She’s independent but very loving once she knows you.

All four are used to going outside, familiar with cat doors, and are well-adjusted to home life with kids. Ideally, they would go to homes where they can continue to have safe outdoor access.

They can be adopted individually or in pairs, depending on what suits your home best.

🤍 4-Year-Old Ragdoll Cat Seeking a New Forever Home 🤍

This beautiful 4-year-old Ragdoll cat is currently seeking a safe and loving forever home. The owner’s personal circumstances have changed, and while we won’t go into the details, the priority is ensuring she is rehomed responsibly to someone who can meet her needs.

She is a friendly and affectionate cat with a curious spirit and a love for exploring. A home with a safe, secure outdoor space far from busy roads would be ideal, though she could also adapt to an indoor-only environment as long as her safety is prioritised.

📍 Location: Greenhithe, North Shore
🐾 Breed: Ragdoll
🎂 Age: 4 Years Old
🐱 Temperament: Friendly, affectionate, but occasionally temperamental

She has always lived with other cats and tends to enjoy their company — often grooming or curling up beside them — but she also needs space when she’s not in the mood, which can sometimes result in a bit of aggression. She's not experienced with dogs, so her response to them is unknown.

If you believe you can provide her with a secure, understanding home, please contact the owner directly for more details.

Thank you for your interest in adoption! For details on how to adopt, please check out our featured post on the top of our page. It contains all the necessary information and steps to adopt or rehome an animal. We appreciate your support.

SNIP ‘N’ CHIP COMES TO WAIKATO! 🙌

We are excited to be launching a new Snip ‘n’ Chip campaign for cat owners in Hamilton, Cambridge, Morrinsville, Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti, Tokoroa, and other areas in the region.

From 16 July 2025 we are working with local participating veterinary clinics to offer this service to cat owners who are struggling with the cost of desexing and microchipping. Vouchers help those in need get their cat desexed and microchipped for $30.

Bookings are now OPEN! Click the link in the comment section to check if vouchers are available in your area and register for your Snip ‘n’ Chip voucher. If you know someone who needs help with the online system, you can help by completing the registration with them.

Thank you so much to our participating vet clinics for helping us to make this important campaign possible ❤️

PLEASE REMEMBER – a limited number of vouchers are available to help those who require financial assistance. Please, only get a voucher if you need one and intend to use it. In the past, we have noticed some vouchers were never used, or bookings were made with vet clinics and never attended. When this happens, it prevents someone else from using the voucher who might really need it.

🐾 Ragdoll Cat Seeking a New Home – Meet Ted
📍 Location: Ōhaupō, Waikato

Ted is a magnificent 8-year-old purebred Ragdoll who is now looking for a new home due to a family member's allergy to his fine fur. He is neutered, microchipped, and embodies everything you’d want in a companion cat — affectionate, gentle, and cuddly.

Ted has a strong need for human connection and thrives on physical affection. He is happiest beside his person — even sleeping curled up next to them at night. Brushing him is an easy and enjoyable experience, and his grooming tools will come with him to his new home.

🐱 Ted’s Profile:
• Breed: Purebred Ragdoll
• Age: 8 years
• Desexed & Microchipped: Yes
• Personality: Calm, extremely affectionate, cuddly
• Grooming: Enjoys brushing; low-stress
• Diet: Raw food only — no biscuits or dry food
• Special Note: Ted is clever and will act like he’s starving when he isn’t!
• Sleeping: Prefers to sleep beside you
• Outdoor Habits: Skilled hunter (rabbits & rodents)

🏡 Ideal Home Requirements:

No dogs
No other cats
No young children
Indoor preferred with safe outdoor access (due to his hunting nature)
Must be the only pet – Ted flourishes in peaceful, one-on-one environments
Ted is being rehomed free of charge to an approved home only. The current owner deeply loves him and is committed to finding the right person who can match the level of care, calm, and companionship Ted needs.

📨 If you are seriously interested and believe you can offer Ted a loving, peaceful forever home, please message the owner with information about your home setup and living situation.

📍 Onehunga

🐾 Nova & Luna – Available for Adoption (Separately)
The owner is looking to rehome two beloved cats, Nova and Luna, due to relocation. The new home has a strict no-pets policy, and attempts to place them with family or friends have been unsuccessful. These cats are indoor-only and must be rehomed separately into kind, loving homes.

🐱 Nova:

Approximately 1.5 years old
Desexed
Beautiful tabby with a calm and affectionate nature
Loves cuddles but is not overly needy
Tolerant of other cats but prefers being the only pet
A perfect companion for someone seeking a relaxed, sweet cat
🐱 Luna:

Estimated to be 4–5 months old
Not yet desexed (was waiting until old enough)
Energetic tuxedo kitten with a playful, affectionate personality
Loves attention and would thrive in a family with children
Needs a home that can provide plenty of interaction and love
Both cats have always lived indoors. While it's up to the new owner to decide whether to train them for outdoor access, a safe, indoor-only home would be ideal for their wellbeing.

The owner will be very selective with applicants to ensure both cats go to safe and nurturing environments. If interested, please message with information about yourself, your home, and why you believe Nova or Luna would be a good match for your family.

🐶 Mushka (3 years) & Mike (9 months) – Available for Adoption

The owner is currently fostering Mushka and Mike, a pair of bonded dogs seeking their forever home. Both are desexed, tame, and affectionate, with loving and cuddly temperaments.

Mushka and Mike are well-suited to a calm household without very young children. Since they are strongly bonded, the owner prefers that they be adopted together to ensure their emotional well-being and stability.

📍Whanganui – Home Needed for Beautiful Cat, Duchess

The current owner is seeking a new home for their beloved cat, Duchess, who was adopted just over a year ago from the SPCA (who are aware of this situation). Despite many efforts, Duchess has not adjusted well to living with the existing household cat, causing ongoing stress in the home.

Duchess would thrive as an only pet. She is a calm and elegant cat who enjoys spending her days lounging in sunny spots like royalty. She's great with children and coexists peacefully with the family's retriever. However, she has a strong tendency to stalk and attack other cats and would not be suitable in a multi-cat household.

She is desexed, fully vaccinated, and up to date with flea and worm treatments. When she was adopted, she was estimated to be around 2–3 years old, placing her now at approximately 4–5 years of age.

Duchess would make a loving, low-maintenance companion for someone looking to give a cat a quiet, forever home.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

This sweet little girl is 9 weeks old and now fully weaned. She's gentle, snuggly, and great with children. The owner has wormed her and applied a flea treatment as a precaution. She’s already trained to use the litter box and has been very loved and well cared for.

She is free to a loving home.
📍 Located in Titirangi.

Princess needs a loving forever home

Meet Princess – a 2.5-year-old, super loyal female tabby cat. She is desexed, microchipped, and toilet trained (goes outside).

The owner can sadly no longer provide Princess with the home she deserves. She will need to be the only animal in the household and would suit someone who is home often and able to give her all the attention she craves.

Princess is accustomed to a quiet environment with only her owner, so a similarly calm home would be ideal. The owner is committed to ensuring she goes to the right person.

The owner is located in South Auckland.

Meet Queenie
Queenie is a 2-year-old female cat with short black and white fur. She is a gentle and affectionate girl who prefers quiet environments and does not enjoy loud noises.

Queenie's sister went missing two months ago and sadly never returned. Since then, Queenie has often been found sleeping in her sister’s usual spots and staring quietly at the wall. Despite this, she remains affectionate, seeking cuddles and pats. She enjoys resting on the cat tower or on a soft blanket.

The owner believes Queenie would benefit from having a feline companion and being cared for in a peaceful home. Queenie has experienced multiple moves and was originally rescued after being abused as a kitten. With time, she builds deep trust and forms a strong bond with those who care for her. Once trust is earned, she becomes a loyal and loving companion.

She loves spending time outdoors and is a skilled hunter, often bringing back "gifts" for the household. Queenie is desexed, microchipped, litter box trained (though she usually toilets outdoors), and ready to find her forever home.
