It was a quieter day today with the storm rolling through 🌧️ Thank you to those of you who either moved your pups bookings or picked up your dogs early! We get that not everyone can do that and we always aim to be business as normal while also trying our best to make sure the pups have the best day possible - no matter Mother Nature throws our way! It is appreciated when you can though, we of course are always honest if pups are having a hard time, and we know some pups are nervous/anxious with storms. Dogs are individuals and we know and love your pups, we want them to feel safe and happy always!
For example, we had a pup who was nervous and showing signs of discomfort today with the howling stormy winds and rain. We gave her lots of extra pats, treats, attention and cuddles but she remained in her safe spot in the bed with her ears back. We told her mum how she was feeling and her mum came and got her. On the other end of the spectrum, we had other dogs with the largest smiles I’ve ever seen, chasing the ball in the pouring rain through big muddy puddles! Of course, we kept them safe and we brought them up to the cabin be dried and have a rest as well. Days like this are certainly interesting, so you helping us to make sure we can keep the pups as happy as possible makes things easier for everyone!
A good day regardless of the weather in the end. 🩵🐾 (Sorry for long post - we’ve been having a few crazy days like this lately with the storms blowing through!!)
