Roy, the red Staffi, is now a Hairy Maclary and a Staffi squad crew member. He had his first adventure with the Hairy Maclary crew today. They hit the beach on a beautiful winter’s afternoon. Luna and Nelson had great fun playing chase into the surf. Nelson is a real beach boy. The dogs love being able to explore amongst the driftwood and then zoom along the sand. Mind you, they seem to take a lot of it with them. The floor of the van looks like someone has had a beach themed party in it.

Willoh has had a change of crew, she will now adventure with the Lab Lad’s. It was frosty and cold in the shadows this morning. That didn’t stop Fleur and Lizzie from taking a refreshing roll in the frost🥶🥶. Dogs for you! Ralph found a stick that looked like a set of antlers. He was the proud supporter of the Stags until Willoh had a turn and the antlers became matchsticks 😂. Buddy stayed true to his Pine cones, he always manages to score himself a real treasure. Proudly dropped at my feet for me to throw for him to fetch. You have to keep your wits about you, a stray unnoticed pine cone is one misstep away from a rolled ankle. Hazards of the job 😂😂. Syd and Arlo are good mates and spend a lot of time following each other around. Always searching for something amazing. It is yet to be found, but the search is ongoing and detailed.

Belle, a lovely Cocker Spaniel, came out for her first adventure with Gussie’s gang today. She had a fantastic time with her new friends, who were showing off for her benefit. She must’ve thought to one-up them, by being the only dog to take a swim in the little pond. A couple of laps of the pond, a stylish exit with an elegant shake off, accompanied by a look that said “beat that”.

It was the last day, out adventuring with her friends, for karma. Karma is our speedster. She absolutely loves running fast. We will miss her. For her last adventure we were at Oreti Sands. There was heaps of chasing games and lots of swimming in the pond. Freddie has a new collar, having lost his whilst possuming. I expect to one day find a blinged up possum, wearing Freddie’s collar and Moose’s oilskin jacket.

The Lab Lad’s crew had Jed join them on their adventure. With 5 black labs roaring around, it was not always easy to identify them. Moose got his possum quota for the day within 2 minutes of exiting the van. The dogs had great fun playing in the pond, Buddy, as usual took a bit of convincing that it was time to move on. The Staffi’s crew cut through the forest on their way to the beach today. They found a couple of ponds to have a quick dip in. Well, Flynn and Chilli had a swim, not the Staffi’s. They don’t like to swim, just wet their toes and no more. Ajax was on a long line, but it was cramping his style. So I let him off and he was a much happier chap. He started to smile and join in the fun the other dogs were having. Flynn was in heaven, being chased the whole adventure. Rosie and Bella will be sleeping well tonight. Roy navigated the excursion. He loved zooming along the beach. Chilli and Flynn are gold medalists for loudest barking in the van. True champions, who will never deny the world from hearing their gift.

Scooter is first pick up and always sits in the back, behind the dog behind the driver. Today he jumped in the front seat (probably been wondering what all the scrambling over the front seat was all about). He settled in comfortably and owned that seat. Until Buster got in! Buster quickly took over, squashed Scooter into a small space against the door. Scooter was regretting his bold move. On the ride home he tried out the back seat driver spot with Molly and Willow. He loved the view, the space and the option to stick his head out the side window when he wanted. He was the last dog dropped home, so he moved into the front just to compare. Big decision for Scooter next week 🤔. It was drizzling so we stuck to the forest for shelter. Biscuit and Dobby had great fun chasing whoever had ‘the stick’.

Cookie is having great fun out adventuring with his new friends, and reconnecting with his brother, Ted. Vegas navigates the crew, and sets a fast pace. He doubles back to check the rest of the team are still following, and then zooms off again. Most photos of him are a blur, even the shutter isn’t quick enough.

The Dude’s had their full crew back together today. It was raining for the beginning of their adventure, so we went into the forest for shelter and then came out into sunshine. They then zoomed up the track parallel to the sand dunes, with some excursions into the paddocks and scrub. Loki navigated, which is a good way to avoid the shenanigans going on at the back. He likes to explore, rather than roar around chasing each other wrestling over pine cones and sticks. He is fleet of foot however, when the treats come out. He quickly turns and sprints back to the group, ready for a tasty treat.

Lots of fun with Fleur’s crew this morning. Goldie’s little sister Winnie is full of puppy enthusiasm. She had a ball playing chase with Hera, Lizzie, Fleur and Tova. Every dog had a turn at joining in, but the speed and daredevil antics wasn’t for everyone. Molly the Collie, Geri and Molly preferred to stroll along, stopping to sniff out areas of interest. Jed was relieved to not be the one who was ‘in’ this week, he wisely scooted ahead and kept out of the way of those crazy girls.

The Hairy Maclary crew tried out a new track today. They love to run fast along the bare ground. Elvis likes to do some exploring and will clamber over logs and stumps to get a good vantage point. Lily had a go at log climbing and thought she was quite the athlete. Luna and Nelson shared the navigation while big Flynn raced from the front of the crew to the back. He was probably trying to hurry things up. Chester and Buster like to stop along the way and have the Spaniel wrestling match, which prompts the Dashchunds into a couple of rounds of wrestle mania. Stan likes to take his time and check out anything even slightly interesting. He gets the hurry up from Flynn the most 😂.
