Yesterday was a hard day. I had to euthanise my beautiful horse Stewart who I’ve owned for 14 years. It’s so hard to say goodbye💔

We battled with a hoof infection for 6 weeks and unfortunately we lost. Rest in peace my beautiful boy xx

Today was one of the hardest days ever. I euthanised my beautiful 22 year old mare, who has been with me through thick and thin the last 19 years... over half my life. She was elderly, had very sore feet and I could tell it was her time. As much as it broke my heart, I know it was the right thing. To every one who’s been in my shoes, I feel your pain and hope that every day gets a little easier.

Many of you lovely followers own horses and know how hard it can be when you have an elderly much loved horse that you know one day you will need to make that super hard decision on when to set them free to that big paddock in the sky.....for me this was the first time I’ve had to make that choice and boy did I struggle.....last week I said goodbye to my much loved 21 year old thoroughbred mare. She was one of the horses who motivated me to create the Hoof Putty....I will be forever thankful and grateful to her.

Rest In Peace my beautiful Suzy (24/11/1997 - 31/01/2019) ❤️❤️❤️

Not sure if any one else had a rough summer but my TBs did! A few cases of mild staggers and some pretty big sub solar abscesses! My poor old mare with the club foot has been pretty sore. I had some X-rays done to see what's going on inside and thought it would be good to show others....you can see her coffin bone has rotated but the laminar are still growing quite tight...her biggest problem is thin soles. Note the darker bits in the toe area of her club foot...it's an abscess
