Incredibly grateful for another NI trip earlier this year 🖤
We headed up straight after the SI Champs prizegiving after finishing packing (lots and lots of hay 😂) between tests and overnight. Unfortunately Waikato PL Show didn’t quite go as planned due to some swimming being required, with Gamble and Kiki’s tests mostly being cancelled and Ru and I being thankful just to have made it through our tests after him being stung by a wasp in the paddock (and having a decent sized allergic reaction, not that we realised what it was at the time).
And then what a last comp before Ru heads into semi-retirement! A tidy YR team test in the indoor for 66% 🥈, then a bit of a tired YR ind test being in the heat of the day + Ru adding in random extra half passes when he felt like it being a bit costly for another 66% 🥉. He then gave me everything he had left for our favourite MFS 🎶 with many happy tears coming out of the arena. And for a bonus we also took out the win🥇with over 70%!!
Kiki improved with every test, finishing with a 5th in 3C, and Gamble picked up 5th in the TiES series. A super experience for them both and lots and lots of learning!!
Incredibly grateful to everyone who made this trip happen, it’s not something I thought I’d get to do again on Ru (or quite so soon in general) so to finish with a 70.7% in our MFS just makes it all the more special. A huge thank you to mum, dad and Georgia for driving me round the country and looking after the horses at home, for having me to stay and all your help, for keeping me looking amazing and their continued support, for refitting all my saddles before we left, and for my stunning new KASK and Cavalor products to keep the horses feeling top form. Also to .equestrian for their sponsorship of the competitions and all the event organisers, stewards and volunteers. And finally to my incredible horses 🦄. Signing off for the 25/26 dressage season and looking forward to the next
