Puppy needed (8 weeks to 6 months old) 🐾 for a free canine fitness training session today (Thursday) or Friday!
My name is Sarah and I run Bark Dog Training. I am currently completing a Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer certification and I'm looking for a puppy owner who would like to do a session of fitness training with their puppy!
I will be videoing the session so I can get feedback from my course instructors about the quality of my instruction for both the puppy owner and the puppy.
The session will run about 20 minutes and we'll be working on things like basic body positions with correct form, following a food lure, beginning movement and proprioception exercises, and more! The session will be fun and both physically and mentally enriching for your puppy. Fitness training is great to build a happy healthy dog, to prepare your dog for sports or an active lifestyle, and to help prevent injuries. It's fantastic for puppies to do fitness training to encourage brain development. I train using positive reinforcement, so your puppy will need to be happy to take food treats throughout the session.
I will need to do the session either later today (Thursday afternoon or evening) or Friday morning.
You don't have to have done any training with your puppy (but if you have done training already with me or anyone else, that's great!), and I'm happy to also answer any training questions you have after our fitness session.

OVER-GREETERS WORKSHOPS
1. Paws & Focus: Calm Walks, Happy Dogs
Focus: Teaching your dog to stay calm and focused during walks.
Skills Covered:
Loose lead walking
Building engagement with you in distracting environments
Teaching calmness around other dogs and people
Outcome: A calm and happy dog that enjoys focused walks without pulling.

2. Leash Masters: Handling Distractions Like a Pro
Focus: Managing distractions like other dogs, people, and wildlife.
Skills Covered:
Teaching "leave it" and "look at me" cues
Increasing engagement when distractions arise
Developing impulse control for greeting or reacting to stimuli
Outcome: A dog that stays focused and well-behaved, no matter the distraction.

3. Focus First: Walks Without the Chaos
Focus: Building strong focus on you during walks.
Skills Covered:
Strengthening recall and name recognition
Enhancing attention even with competing stimuli
Using games and play to keep your dog engaged with you
Outcome: A dog that looks to you first and maintains focus, even in busy environments.

4. Walk This Way: Polite Paws in Public
Focus: Polite walking in public spaces, managing greetings and interactions.

Mastering leash manners and general focus
Outcome: A well-mannered dog that follows good etiquette on walks, making every outing more enjoyable.

Each workshop is $75.00 per handler/dog team
No reactivity or aggressive dogs.
