Yay I managed to get the glue on boots attached 🎉 this will raise her heels to encourage blood flow, my farrier was unable to fit at this time but gave the best instructions.
Thanks to Lea turning up, perfect timing & not in her jandals, Mickey having a sleep thankfully, made life easy

Bridget is doing great so far, when pain meds wear off she is slightly tender in the feet, we will keep up her treatments & meds, my kind farrier had some special boots to put on her to elevate her heels to keep the blood flow to her coronets, these will go on tomorrow morning, Mickey’s bloods came back really good for his colostrum intake
Things are looking a bit brighter ❤️

This weekend had entered the golden girl in her fist outing in ages, dressage was Sat and EOH & speed Sunday, we had to scratch Sunday but Lily is back to her old self doing a lovely dressage test (for her) sadly no pics, thrilled with her ❤️

We have a name McLeods Cavlander, Mickey for short ❤️
When it rains it pours! Has been a roller coaster ride this last 8 weeks, Bridget didn’t pass the placenta till 11 am today despite our best efforts & using her as a pin cushion, that had been retained 32 hrs, her temperature was high & heartbeat this morning, I really thought I was going to lose her then out it came omg relief, we then flushed her, will flush again tonight & tomorrow morning & will still be a pin cushion for at least the next 3 days, the biggest fear is now laminitis, she still has no raging pulse in her feet which is hopeful, foals bloods taken to check he has had enough colostrum, when that shows it’s too late, he is doing extremely well I’m just playing it safe.
Please all your thoughts & prayers for Bridget, sorry I hadn’t replied to all your lovely messages on the arrival post of the delicious Mickey

These two unions have been in for awhile, Nixie (coloured) isn’t far from hopping on & yearling Skye is in for her 1yo handling
They both are such a pleasure to work with.
Nixie is Holstiner station bred and Skye is Clyde TB, can’t deal with those feathers for much longer lol

Gosh I’m just devastated my beloved yearling Kimba had a paddock accident on the hill and has gone to fly with Dora, my heart is so broken, I have been hiding from visitors as just haven’t been able to face people, spending my days sitting in the paddocks with the others, they know how I’m feeling and just stand there with their heads on my shoulder ❤️

Spent the day watching Steve Houston working a yearling then 2yo and 4yo and the stages he goes through yesterday,
Loved every minute & keep an eye out if he does this again highly recommend.
We never stop learning, I picked up few more tools to try

Bonnie is just delicious, she has so much presence about her, very confident & curious, just what I want in my babies, love just watching her play, Laurie pictured having kisses 🥰
