Why should you des*x your cats?

As we head into kitten season there are a lot more cats out there. Des*xing your cat is the best way to prevent overpopulation. There has been an increase in the amount of sick and unwanted kittens being found that are then ending up in shelters.

Whilst it is important to des*x any cat, it is especially beneficial for male cats as they can father hundreds of litter in a year, which further fuels the surge of kittens that show up in shelters.

Des*xing also helps to reduce roaming of cats and fighting which can lead to more trips to the vet and the spread of diseases such as FIV and FIP.

Please help us in controlling the wild cat population and reduce the amount of stray cats by getting your cat des*xed.

Please be advised that due to price changes it is now $30 for females and $20 for males. We also have a strict no show, no appointment policy - if you fail to show up for your appointment, you will be unable to use our clinic for any more appointments, so please book a day that suits you.

Why des*x your cat?🐈

- Did you know that a cat can become pregnant at just 5 months of age and can have more than 18 kittens per year! That means that an unspayed female and her offspring can create over 400 000 kittens in their lifetime!!
- Therefore, des*xing not only helps prevent this, but may also prevent male cats from coming to your home.

- Des*xing male cats can help reduce cat fighting, meaning fewer injuries and trips to the vet.
- It also reduces roaming, reducing the chance of your cat urinating or spraying inappropriately in the house.
