Thursday pack had a really lovely walk today. Everyone showed great manners, especially around thresholds, with dogs waiting patiently and making good choices before being released. A cruisey outing with a well-behaved crew. 🐾😊

Tuesday pack had a great outing today. We started with a nice leashed stroll, focusing on calm walking manners and engagement, before spending some time working on our stays and duration work.To finish things off, the dogs got to enjoy a fun romp through the bushes, making the most of the adventure while still practicing listening skills and recall.

Tuesday exited the van very nicely and calmly, but the excitement of seeing a couple of dogs back after being away last week made minds a little zoomie 🤪
We had a slower start with a few reminders needed, but once everyone settled, we cruised through a really effortless 8km walk 🐾

Thursday pack clocked in at Woz’s place 🐾✨
We made the most of the space with a proper romp, mixing fun with structure. Follows stayed consistent, recalls were sharp, and the stays held nicely even with plenty going on around them.
Play was kept respectful, with the dogs reading each other well and keeping things balanced. Big focus today was also on showing Millie how we behave around sheep - calm, neutral, and switched on. She took it all in like a pro 👏
A solid session all round with dogs that know how to have fun and still stay accountable 💛

While Palmy turned on the sunshine, we were up in the hills getting properly soaked… but honestly, the dogs didn’t mind one bit. A wet pack is still a happy pack, and they got stuck into the walk like pros.
We had a great time out there and loved having join us. Sarah’s is going to be such a valuable addition to the industry 👌

Tuesday had a bit of a social spin to it 🌿
I wanted to check in on how Odin and Donny are developing in their play and communication with other dogs in a more free environment. They absolutely delivered. Both boys exceeded expectations, showing much nicer engagement, clearer communication, and overall better decision-making around the group. Super cool to see that progress coming through.
We also had two handlers on today to keep things structured and flowing smoothly with a couple of extra dogs in the mix 👌

Apparently playing in the rain is far more fun than stopping for a photo. We worked on excitement around water for two of the shepherds, enjoyed a lovely on-leash walk down to the beach, passed some horses nicely, and saw some really wonderful recalls today.

Balanced training is about giving dogs clear, fair communication 🐾
It means we reward the behaviours we want and address the behaviours we don’t so the dog isn’t left guessing.
We use things like food, praise, and play to build engagement and motivation… while also guiding the dog away from unwanted behaviours in a way they understand.
The goal isn’t to “correct everything” it’s to teach first, then hold the dog accountable once they know better.
When done properly, balanced training builds: -Confidence
- Better decision making
- Reliability in real-world situations
- Calm, neutral behaviour around dogs, people, and distractions
Every dog is different, so training is never one-size-fits-all. It’s about finding what works for that dog and creating a system they can clearly follow.
At the end of the day, we want dogs that can enjoy freedom, make good choices, and live comfortably in our world ✨

Monday pack showed up with busy brains and itchy paws, so instead of matching that tempo, we turned the volume down.
Slower pace.
Longer breaths.
More intention.
We focused on calm transitions, soft follows, and rewarding neutrality. When the energy started to bubble, we didn’t correct it with chaos, we guided it back to steady. By the end, you could feel the shift. Bodies looser. Eyes softer. Minds clearer.
