Herbie is a 7 and half year-old mixed breed who was adopted from Helping You Help Animals (HUHA)
in Otaki back in 2021, only information I received from them was that he spent most of his first three
years of life tied up on a chain…he is a mix of husky, border collie and farm dog.
Herbie has been the absolute light of my life for the past 4 years and I’m heartbroken to be re-homing
him, however I’ve had a change in personal circumstances and will not be able to continue to give him
the time and attention he deserves. He is a real character, and I know he will make another family
very happy.
Herbie is registered with Tasman District Council and up to date with his vaccinations, flea and
wormed, also desexed. He is approaching the older side of his life and I have him on K9 Joint tablets
from O2B Healthy as he does have a bit of a shoulder issue and signs of arthritis. I do believe these
tablets are helping him so would like his new owner to continue with this if possible. He is otherwise in
good shape and a happy, still young boy at heart. He does well with a couple of walks every day, a bit
fussy if it’s raining…loves a game of tug of war and always appreciates a new toy to play with before
ripping it to pieces. He would suit a home with a bit of section to run around on.
Herbie knows the basic commands, and like most dogs he is very motivated by food. His recall is still
a work in progress as he loves to stop and sniff everything. He is social and does well with other dogs
as he used to go to daycare for a few months and absolutely loved it. I would not recommend a home
with cats as he does like to chase them. He would be okay living with other dogs but also perfectly
fine being an only child if it means he gets all the love and attention. He would do well in a home with
people around during the day as he is very much a people dog, he loves to sit and snuggle up next to
you. He loves children but he is still quite boisterous for his age, I’d recommend a home with older
children.

Regrettably we are looking for a perfect home for our beloved dog, due to unforeseen personal circumstances.

Ready to add some joy to your life? This 3.5 year-old large neutered mixed breed is a happy-go-lucky, sweet and playful companion who loves family time, food and friends. He is respectful to children, good with cats and very quiet (as in- he doesn’t bark and only “woofs” when he’s playing). He has a playful spirit with a “scooby” personality. He is trained and is comfortable with being left at home for periods of time - however we are looking for someone who has time to commit to our beautiful boy.

We're seeking top quality adopters who are not only knowledgeable with dogs, but also understand the commitment of dog ownership. They must be willing to provide Boswell with companionship, love and a fenced yard. There is an adoption fee of $250, which helps us ensure a serious and permanent placement. He will only go to the best of homes, this is a heartbreaking time for us.

Meet Fran ….🐕
She is a desexed 9 year old female foxy cross. 🥰
Her temperament is mainly like a foxy. She has a very sweet nature and is a quiet dog. At her overnight stay at the vet, they Told me she was one of the easiest patience they've ever had. She's is well trained and obedient.
She gets along with most other animals except for cats.
She was raised on a farm with sheep And chickens.
She loves everybody, especially children, but would Probably not suit a family with babies or toddlers.
She likes quite a lot of quiet time.And if things get too hectic, she can get anxious.
She has a history of epilepsy with seizures only occurring every few months.She's now on Phenobarbital, which is very Inexpensive.
This should also stop the seizures from happening anymore.
This has been a really tough decision for me to make.
But my life circumstances have sadly changed and my health has taken a blow. I'm just finding it physically and mentally too hard and I feel bad for Fran. I feel like someone else can give her so much more.

🐱Daisy is 3 years old little, long haired tabby cat.
She has recently been desexed, vaccinated and chipped.
Daisy is small wee thing who takes awhile to warm up and trust as she has not been well socialised. She was a rescue cat as a kitten.
Daisy has a skin complaint as she is long haired but recently when at the vet she had some antibiotics and that appears to have fixed the problem for now. I am not sure what the problem is at this stage.

She would do well in a permanent quiet home as a lone cat. She has not been outside for a long time so would need to stay inside for a long while to make sure she is trusting and then perhaps introduced to the outside world. She has very clean habits and is a girl who loves to sleep. When she trusts she will purr readily and does not scratch or bite.

She has been with me for 3 weeks and is now becoming a very friendly talkative wee girl. 🥰

Meet Lou 🐈
A 3 year old short haired Tabby cat. She has recently been desexed, chipped and vaccinated. 😍

She is a cat that was taken from a colony and has been living inside for a couple of years. She is not well socialised but is a very beautiful soft and loving girl. She has been with me for a week and is beginning to come out of her bed and be more sociable. She does not scratch or bite or hiss – is just nervous as she like the others has lost her home.

She is very clean using the dirt box and I have noticed she is a slow picky eater. Lou would be a lovely cat for a person/s in a quiet environment probably without children. She will need to be kept inside for a month or so until she gains her confidence then a slow introduction to outside may be good or a catio.

I hope someone may be able to give this beautiful girl a safe forever home with lots of cuddles when she gains her confidence. She deserves it…🥹

Meet the gorgeous Arli nearly four years old. 🥰🐕
His father was an American bulldog and mother was a foxy and grandfather was a Doberman and is a handsome looking boy!
He is registered and upto date on his jabs ,flea and wormed. He is also desexed.
This boy is young and still full of energy being a foxy but lazy at the same time being a bull dog he loves cuddling up close and can be hard to get out of bed in the morning 😂
He is clever and knows lots of commands. He has quite high prey drive but never wants to catch anything just chase.
He does well with other dogs off leash and not to bad on the lead depending on the dog.
He would suit a home with a bit of land and other dogs should be fine.
Arli gets on with children but may suit a family with older children.

❤️❤️Barney is 5.5 years old 🐈and has been desexed and chipped. He has not had a recent vaccination. He has wobbly cat which I wonder if it is cerebral palsy as he has always been unsteady on his feet but he is perfectly mobile. He uses the dirt box and is clean.

Barney is shy and has had a difficult time adjusting to the loss of his house as he is one of the cats belonging to a woman who lost her home recently. He has been fostered with 2 of the other cats from the house and is still shy with the fosterer (2 weeks). However if he is given a safe, quiet environment he will become a lovely loving cat and will be good company for someone.

Barney has not been outside for several years so would require a slow introduction to the outside world. As with all these cats who are adopted if it does not work out they can be returned.

Meet Billy! 🐱
She is a short haired female tabby cat approximately 5.5 years old.

She has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated in the last 3 weeks and has recovered well. She has become homeless due to her owner losing her house so Billy is needing a new home. She has been staying at a persons home in the meantime with two of the other cats Robbie and Barney who also require a home.

The person who is looking after Billy wrote that she is such a sweet cat. Very chatty, brave and curious. She was the first cat to want to get to know me, and has since become very affectionate towards me. She thinks Billy has supported the other two through the change in circumstances.

As with all these cats she will require to be kept inside for a few months and be given time to get to know her new family. She has not been outside for long stretches in the day for several years so will need a slow introduction to the outside world. It seems she loves a cuddle when she trusts.

She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with worm/flea treatment.❤️

She is quiet and a little shy, but gentle and adores cuddles.🥰
She wouldn't cope with small children, dogs or a noisy, busy household, but would be a perfect companion for the right human/s, perhaps with a small patch of garden she could sun herself in.
Allie is located in Motueka.
There is no adoption fee for this beautiful girl because we understand that adopting out older cats can be

💚🩵Arlo has been re-homed🩵💚

This is Arlo, he is a 1 1/2 year old black Labrador X spaniel springer. His vaccinations are mostly up to date. I lost his vet book so am unsure what he’s had or needs. His worming and flea treatments are all up to date. He doesn’t have a microchip and isn’t registered with the council yet.

He is a very friendly dog with a big personality, he is great with kids and other dogs. He still needs a bit of training but he is still a good wee boy. He is the most loving dog and will make a great family member.

Unfortunately I have to give him up due to living situations and unable to have him with me. I don’t want to give him up but I have no choice in the matter. I am really sad to see him go.
